Hello Internet shoppers, I found Dave's Service Center on the WWW, normally I would have just used my neighborhood regular auto repair shop in Richboro, however I recently lost my job. My mechanic in Richboro is close, and I suppose the rent is higher there, so his prices reflect the area. So off to the internet I went, I phoned and spoke to the owner Dave; he came across very knowledgeable and practical, not expensive. I took my needed inspection work list to Dave's, Dave looked over the list and with all honesty he stated that his part prices were about the same, because most garages in the area use the same parts warehouse, and basically we all have competitive labor rates Funny thing despite that fact, Dave said, and "HERE IS THE KEY" after perusing my vehicle service records, Dave said this and I quote; "Jerry I don't believe all these components could have gone bad at the same time". If you allow me to re-inspect your vehicle thoroughly for the charge of $57.00, and I cannot trim your expenses I will wave my $57.00 fee, I feel that confident that I can repair your vehicle as per factory requirements for a lot less With nothing to lose I said, hell yes! I went to sit in his waiting room, the staff gave me a free soda, and after about an hour Dave came in to give me his report, plus all the measurements that he got from his auto repair program that somehow is connected with all vehicle manufactures data. The results: I only needed "4" of the "9" parts that the other garage quoted me, Dave saved me over $1,450.00. I saved enough to pay my mortgage for two months. I learned a valuable lesson that day; you cannot shop for a Repair Facility by price! Or on what someone else told you that you needed! If you want to save money and get the most out of your vehicle, you need someone who is ethical, educated, and has all the high tech tools that can diagnose your vehicle correctly, not just throw parts at it. I told my neighbor Dan about Dave's Service Center, he laughed aloud and said Jerry where have you been, mostly everyone I know goes to Dave's place. Dan said he has been a customer of Dave's since he moved here in 1988. All I can add is that I am still unemployed, my budget is extremely tight and I am enormously thankful that people like Dave Edelstein are on my side Thank You Dave for helping me out, hopefully someone else needing a guardian angel, will find you also with my help by writing this review.
