I took my car in to have an oil leak fixed in May 2013. One year to the date, I returned my car for the same oil leak, May 2014. After the original total for repair of $1,445, an additional $600 was quoted to repair the same oil leak in May 2014.
Needless to say, I was reluctant to agree to this quote. After expressing my concerns to Roger, Eddie's son, he agreed to" make it right"......"as a long time customer". When I dropped off my vehicle to be looked at, this long time customer's file was no where to be found in their system. The only time I had any work attempted, was in May 2013, the supposedly, Head Gasket repair. I showed Linda, Eddie's wife, my copy of that work order.
Even more reluctant than ever, I left my 2003 Toyota Solora at Eddie's Automotive. I requested call me prior to ANY work being done, save old parts for my pick~up. The third day Linda left the message, "can't find anything wrong with your car".
Yahoo! but explain the oil dripping onto the engine, had to come from somewhere???
Roger called, on #5 day ordered parts, wrong parts sent twice. Nine days later I retrieved my car!
Upon entering the office, I was handed my key, my car was brought forward. There was no expression of gratitude for my business, old parts were tossed and no copy of a work order given, even after calling Linda to send me my copy through the mail.
My vehicle was a mess! It looked as though an attempt was made to clean the oil from the engine (unsuccessfully). The over spray was not only on the exterior but interior as well, the windows, the sunroof were all open as my car was returned.
Since then, I have gotten another opinion from a certified mechanic, oil is leaking from the head, repair done in May 2013, if a repair was done? needs to be corrected! He has referred me to the Bureau of Automotive Repairs, State of California.
Why was this not repaired correctly the first time?
Why was this not "made right" without question, the second time?
Money was paid in full to Eddie's Automotive in May 2013, no hesitation to take money for repairs not done or not done correctly!
October 2014, because of this leak, I rarely drive any distance, constantly checking the oil, I need reimbursement of the monies in order to have my vehicle repaired at a reputable business.
