This shop was highly recommended to my wife and I by friends. We took both our car and van here for services and we were not disappointed. Lucky is by far one of the most honest mechanics I've come across in the city. He checked out our vehicles first before and let's you know what needs to be done and what can wait. Our van was due for its 90K service and instead of doing all the work in one service, he suggested to do half of it first and then do the 2nd half of the service at another time. This way, we were able to properly budget and not have to spend a large sum all at the same time. Def going to keep going here.

First time I went to Lucky they did a good job on repair in my radiator so I took it back when my emissions failed well they said they ran it through a smoke test and they fix something on my desk but I feel my gas up and then they said that was something wrong with the light on the dashboard and they were going to fix that now I got a call back later saying I had to buy a new dashboard they broke my dashboard and it burned out some of the other lights on the dashboard I neve... After reading the previous review posted by Fayzullo I felt compelled to write a review of my own. I personally have used Luckys Auto repair multiple times for both of my cars AND I have sent MANY new customers to LUCKYS- ALL incredibly satisfied and happy! ALWAYS I have had amazing customer service at absolutely the lowest labor prices you could imagine. The work is exemplary . I resent that the review prior to this one questioning the integrity of Lucky or his staff. What Fayzullo is unaware of is that for more than 5 years Luckys Auto has given back to this diverse community in many ways. One of the most important ways us that he's always been FAIR AND HONEST! From time to time Luckys hosts a community cookout with a movie for the children. At no time has any mechanic at Luckys been "unable to explain " the work they've done. Due to Fayzullo's vague description of the work performed my guess is more like this CONSUMER was unable to understand what was explained to him. I WOULD TAKE FAYZULLO'S REVIEW WITH A GRAIN OF SALT!

Folks, this is the first time I am writing a review for a business. I normally don't have time to do that. My experience at Lucky's was so terrible that I decided to give them a review. I wish I could give them zero stars. I really hope this place goes out of business soon. Our car broke on a highway not too far from Lucky's. We had it towed over there as this was the first place that came up on my search. We were told by Dee and his father that we need to leave the car as they don't have time to check the car today. Dee told us that an inspection would cost us $88. My brother and I made it clear to him that if there were any additional costs, we wanted them to call us first to let us know before they start working on the car. The next day, my brother gets a call from Johnny, who says the car has been fixed and we owe the shop $438. Needless to say, we were astonished. Not only did they not call us to let us know there would be additional $350 charge, but also they couldn't even properly explain what exactly they did on the car. When we came to the shop and explained Lucky, the owner, that we never got a call and that they were in violation of the uniform commercial code, he said that he doesn't care about any laws and that we either pay the bill or get out of his office. He even threatened us that if we leave without paying the bill, he would call the police and report robbery of our own car. After an hour or so argument with Lucky, we paid the bill just so we could take the car. But, we are in process of suing this guy and his shop. It is not just a matter of money, but also of principal. I value my time and if I am writing such a long review and in process of suing him, you can tell how horrendous my experience was with his repair shop. If my review saves even one person from dealing with Lucky, I will consider my time well spent. I really hope that no one will have to deal with what we did. Also, I would take the 5-star reviews with a grain of salt.

I've had mechanics work on my cars all over MD, VA, PA, AZ, TX, etc., and Lucy is by far the finest mechanic bar one. Extremely friendly people, very informative, they escort youg you to your vehicle to analyze the repair, and always will give you a great. Since I moved to Baltimore, I've taken my 2012 CX9 and 2007 Odyssey and have always received top-notch service. Given that I live close by, they have taken me home and picked me up without any hassle. The waiting room is quite Spartan by any standards, however, and it is not a comfortable room. Otherwise, this is the place to go for super mechanical work on any vehicle. PS. These guys even open on Sundays!
