I've been bringing all my cars - as well as my *potential* future cars - to API and their predecessor (Auto King) for 20+ years. As a backyard mechanic myself, I appreciate their no BS honesty and great advice on what needs fixing, and what can wait. I have also used them also to give me honest appraisals of all the cars I've considered buying - if it doesn't pass muster with them, then I take it off my list and move on. Can't think of an instance where I wasn't completely satisfied with their work...and I can't think of a better way of recommending them. :-)
