When I started looking for smog check spots this place popped up. I've never had to do this before as I'm still newer to California, so I looked for a top rated spot. These guys had some of the best reviews and they were all consistent so I decided to stop by. I was NOT disappointed.
They were nice and welcoming from the start. Oscar got me signed in and got my car in for the test immediately. Ten minutes later I was paying for the test and sent on my way.
The place has that small neighborhood auto shop feel that I grew up knowing. I'm from the Midwest so that's a lot of what you find out there. The guys were super nice and made everything really easy especially for a newbie.
I will definitely recommend them to anyone who needs simple smog tests or even other automotive work done.

Service was super quick and decently priced! $28 for a smog and cert for my 2010 Civic :) The whole thing took less than half an hour around 11am on a Saturday. I'm a happy camper!

Friendly, professional and efficient service at a fair price. As an earlier reviewer said, it has a nice, neighborhood shop feel to it. Like the earlier reviewer, I to am new to the area. I plan to make this my regular go-to auto shop.

Took us in on very short notice for a smog check even though the employees were out at lunch. Great service and very friendly. We were in and out in ten minutes. Highly recommended!

Came here on accident thinking, meaning to go to a different spot. Ended up getting a way better price! Was in and out in less than 20 mins. Really nice guys, helpful, and very competitive pricing. $28 and some change for a smog with certificate :)

I was very impressed with Oscar! I got a smog check for $20 plus $8.25 for a certificate. Can't beat that price anywhere. Everywhere in Camarillo smog checks are about $50, I was a little concerned that for the price, I might get pressed for unnecessary repairs. But Oscar was super friendly and very honest. He made sure that we checked our DMV paperwork before he performed the test to ensure that we didn't need a star rated test. He is not rated for that and didn't want to waste our money. Nice guys still exist. We did not have an appt. and the smog test only took about 20 min. I would recommend him to anyone.

I was in Ventura Co last week, took my daughter's car to Brake Masters in Oxnard and got just the opposite. I had a loose tie rod clicking that I thought was a strut problem. 19.95 oil change, tighten tie rod, air filter and drill/retap a loose bolt on a stabilizer link where it attached to the frame... $72. I expected 300-400 with struts, etc. Oscar get 5 stars! ... an extremely honest guy and a sole proprietor, not a chain!

Only shop that I've found in a very long time who will give you honest and realistic opinion one what you need to have done to your car. He even took me to the garage and went over what the dealer recommended and showed me that it was not necessary to spend that amount. Highly recommend! Quick service for a great price!

This is the true "Honest Mechanic" shop. And at great prices too. After taking my truck to other mechanics and having repair after repair done at more and more costs and still not running right, I listened to a friend and took it to Oscar. Finally my truck runs perfect! At a fraction of the cost!! Great super knowlegeble people, friendly fast service, AND at more than reasonable prices. This shop truely cares about their customers. I wont take my vehicles anywhere else.

This is the ONLY place I will ever bring my car to. They are fast, friendly and always do a great job at getting me a reasonable price on all of my repairs. I just had new rotors and brake pads put on my car by Oscar at Brakes Plus Auto Care. The services was great and my car was finished way before he said it would be done. The cost to have these services done was OUTSTANDING! If you do not want to get ripped off, go see Oscar. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Friendly service, HONEST man...need I say more? I have been ripped off before and will never take my car anywhere else. Thank you Oscar!
