A former colleague turned me on to Lou's Automotive. I found Lou to be a fair and honest businessman. He and his mechanics are knowledgeable and their work is, as far as i can tell, safe and reliable. I've had Lou do basic maintenance, brakes, brake lines and a couple of other small projects. When faced with a major repair on an aging vehicle Lou advised against going forward rather than make money. To me that is a sign of someone who's convictions are in doing what's best for his customer. I recommend Lou highly.

Took a friend to Lou's Automotive. They diagnosed and repaired her car while we waited. She needed a battery and they replaced the cable ends. Her freon was low so they serviced her AC and we were on the road again in a short time. Love this shop. Would recommend them to everyone.

Lou and his Employee are Totally Awesome!!! My Girlfriend and I live in San Diego and were visiting the Palm Springs area Feb 27-29 2016. Our truck was overheating badly, smoke all over and a horrible odor of rubber burning. We were staying at a Hotel in downtown Palm Springs. I asked the Gentleman(Gary) who runs the Hotel if he knew any good Mechanics in town. He said "Lou". Lou has been working on his car for 13 or more years. Well I got my truck towed to Lou's not expecting him to look at it right away..But Lou assisted us immediately. He diagnosed and repaired our truck in about two hours. We were prepared to stay in Palm Springs for another night..Thanks to Lou and his Employee we made it home safe and sound to San Diego. Thank you Lou's Automotive..You Rock!!

We bought a house in Cathedral City last summer. We found Lou's on the recommendation of a friend. We find ourselves very fortunate as it is rare to find a mechanic you are able to trust completely. Lou is an honest man and does great work for a reasonable cost. He so reminds me of my father who was an honest mechanic/bodyshop man his entire life. I would send anyone I know to Lou with the utmost confidence that they would also be completely happy.

I found the guys at Lou's Automotive through a friend on my frequent visits from Seattle. Each trip I drove down, each trip Lou fixed something I had paid to be fixed in Seattle. Each trip back to Seattle I attempted to find a new mechanic. The cycle seamed endless. My solution, I moved to Palm Springs and now Lou and his great crew take care of both my cars! I find them the most honest I've ever dealt with, always give me the facts within several hours of dropping the car off. Or for oil changes or quickie stuff I just wait, have great conversations with Alan and I'm out the door! Best yet!! is my rating and I'm not looking any further!
