These are seriously the best guys to look at your car. Amazing service for sure, but more than anything they make you feel like a normal person. No shame of not knowing what's wrong with your car, they are willing to take the time to explain anything you want to know and not make you feel dumb!
I drive 45 minutes to come see these guys... It's worth it! I dread the day I move and have to find another mechanic that comes close to these guys.

Came today and saw Elliot . Really nice guy and friendly service. These guys are honest workers and work on your car as if it's their own. I had a headlight that went out just needed to be replaced.
I think they are really fair and I'll be back in the futures!

If I could give all the stars in the world, believe me, I would!!! I have found my auto-spot for life!
I am a La Habra native, and like other La Habra natives, I have a great urge to SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS. Cornerstone in particular went above and beyond all of my expectations.
Phillip and Elliot are most definitely the most honest and kind techs I have ever had the chance of meeting. Not once was there any forced conversation or any misleading on any suggestions for what my truck is going to need in the future to keep it in tip-top shape. Their prices are MORE THAN REASONABLE, and if you give them a chance, they will prove to you that they will treat you right.
I love more than anything that you can truly feel that this shop is a family. This shop is so full of goodness and honesty! They treated me like family, and I appreciate that more than anything!

Seriously, I'm usually the guy who only writes reviews on yelp if someone pissed me off or screwed me over. But I figured I'd add some good will to the world and tell some other people about this awesome Auto shop in La Habra.
I found them through a friend of a friend, and I've been so happy that I tried them out. My first time their, I used a free-oil change business card that a friend of mine gave me. And they honored it completely, changed my oil, and told me my car was in good shape. They even completed a 20 or 30 point evaluation of the car to let me know what I should keep an eye on for the future.
They really are great, and have saved my bacon a number of times!
I recommend their services, they shoot straight, and tell you like it is event if you have a old junker like my car.

I came here based off the reviews provided and the fact that my brother came here for his car repairs, also based off the reviews. He had a good experience so I gave it a try. I originally went in for my brakes and oil change. they ended up calling me and saying i needed new rear roters and brakes, since i have a volkswagen the roters wore out quickly.
I had no other choice, the guy said they were so bad he recommended i dont drive on them anymore. The cost was $514 for an oil change, rear brake pads, and new rear roters. Sounds expensive, right? it is. I checked
to compare pricing in the area for my type of car and needed work.
says $315-$427 estimate. I over paid at least $50.
My boyfriend needed some work done to his car; oil change and filter, replace thermostat housing, hoses, upper and lower radiator hoses, and two radiator extension hoses and coolant. This place in pasadena wanted to charge him $445, so he called Cornerstone to compare and they said $600!!! insane! My brother that had a sensor changed also had paid around $500 for his work at cornerstone.
They do good work, but the pricing needs some work.

Honest and trustworthy. We've been taking our cars here for over a year now. I don't feel like I'm being cheated or lied to when it comes to having my car serviced here. Their prices are fair and the service is EXCELLENT. Elliott is very good about keeping me informed on the status of my car through out the day. Phil is also very friendly and I can tell he is a hard worker who knows what he is doing.
I appreciate how Phil and Elliott will alert me to some upcoming maintenance to be aware of. "It doesn't need to be done now but probably at your next visit...." Nothing is a big surprise. It shows how thorough they are.

I often see the Cornerstone truck around town in La Mirada and decided to give them a try when I needed some work. I wanted a shop I could trust.
From my first call to the repair of my car a day later, everything was great. Elliot was super friendly and knowledgeable. He explained exactly what was wrong and what would be repaired and even gave me a complimentary oil change.
I will refer all my local friends and family and plan to go back for my future auto needs!

What a great experience with Elliott and Phill. I took my car in to have it serviced and a folded up quickly, gave me a very fair price and had the car fixed within a day. It's a great thing to find an honest mechanic and I certainly have in this case. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Elliot and Phillip are great! You can tell they really care about what they do. I believe their prices are reasonable and affordable. I don't understand a thing about cars and I've had bad experiences with mechanics in the past but Elliot was extremely helpful in explaining things to me from day one. He answered any questions I had and even showed me the inside of my car to explain. They didn't make me feel like just another customer with money. I ended up paying lower than what they originally quoted because there were some things I didn't need. Not many mechanics will do this! I would gladly pay extra because these guys are trustworthy and reliable but the fact that they aren't expensive is a bonus. The customer service here is fantastic and anyone who says otherwise is only looking for a cheap mechanic that isn't nearly as qualified as Cornerstone. I'd rather have quality work done by honest people at a great price.

I can honestly say this is the first time I've ever felt comfortable in an auto repair shop. I've had plenty of bad experiences with other car places but Cornerstone offered great customer service, fair pricing, and timely updates on my car. Although I ended up not getting major work done, their diagnosis saved me a lot of time and stress in figuring out what was wrong with my car.

I first started going here near the beginning of the the year after finding their place on yelp. There was a strong rattling noise in the car and I figured some part of the engine had broken so I brought it to them. They spent 30 minutes looking at the car, looking for the problem. They found a flashlight that my wife hid in the bottom of the glovebox and let me know that it wasn't my car. What is most amazing about that is they didn't charge me at all, though they spent some time looking at it.
I've been there about four times this year and each time they take care of my car quickly and give me a full update on repairs. They even referred me to another place for tires because if they did it then they would have to charge a bit more. They truly work at their business to honor God, and not their wallets, and that is what impresses me most.

Wow! I was referred here by a good friend and was impressed by the level of expertise and professionalism. They went above and beyond to make sure I had transportation while they worked on my Jeep. Phil was able to diagnose a bearing problem nobody else was able to and I didn't even go in for that!!!
Elliot in the office gave me a great price and worked with me to spend the money I had budgeted accordingly to the areas that were most important.
The quality of work was awesome as well! I hate it when shops cut corners to save a couple of bucks and look like the good guy, but you have to go back in a few months because they didn't go out of their way to make sure everything is in good working order. Didn't get that from Cornerstone.
Most of all, its never fun when shops call to tell you they found more problems and its going to cost more money. Well it happened, but they physically showed me the busted parts that had obviously been been leaking and corroded for some time - other shops I've been to didn't offer to do that.
On top of it all, they hustled to get the work done in minimal time so I could have my car for the weekend. Super impressed!
Overall I'm extremely happy to have found a new and trustworthy mechanic for all my automotive needs. THANKS GUYS!!!

Took my new(er) minivan in for it's 2nd oil change and 10k tire rotation. Dealer wanted $60 for the oil change and $25 for the rotation. They did both for much less than just the dealer's oil change price. Phil took it for a drive first to assess if the car had any other issues before getting to work.
Phil & Elliott were both very friendly and seemed very trustworthy. I didn't feel defensive when I met them as I usually do whenever I take my car in for any type of service. Phil explained things, showing me the oil after he changed it to help me understand what he was talking about and gave me other tips without being pushy or suggesting unnecessary services.
I also appreciated their clean shop, I could walk through it to the office, which was also clean, and didn't get any oil on my shoes to track back into the car. They also used a floor mat which I always appreciate.
They were quick and courteous and have a long term outlook so I know they will take care of us each time we come in, not try to make the most money off you the first time you come in.

I brought in my 99 Maxima two weeks ago because it was sputtering and smoking out the tail pipe. Cornerstone was able to diagnose the problem and repair it in a timely manner. They were in constant contact with me during the repair process and let me know what needed to be done. They didn't try to sell me extra repair items and the final cost was less than the original estimate!
My car has been running great since. Friendly, reliable, and honest service.

I first heard of Cornerstone when Philip was out handing free waters to the players and parents of the LMSA on a hot, sunny day. Most small businesses don't really get involved with the community. So I decided to give him a shot, and this is definitely a place where I feel comfortable bringing my car. I've been here twice, and both times they have done a great job. I don't get pressured to buy extra stuff, compared to Jiffy Lube. Not only do they live up to their integrity, but they are also professional. Thank you, Philip & Elliot! Keep up the good work!

I've been to a lot of auto repair places. Most of the time, because I don't completely 'understand' my car, I get blank looks and/or eye rolls from the mechanics or the people behind the desk as I seek to explain what's wrong with my car or try to understand the jargon they're throwing at me.
Cornerstone, however, has been a refreshing change. My car has been in three times for minor repairs and oil changes. I really appreciate the way they are thorough and recommend preventative maintenance, not just fixing what is broken. They are also super friendly and have very quick service. What more could you want?

I've been here twice, once for oil change and once for air conditioning problems. I'm usually hesitant to go to auto places but who can mess up an oil change right? I was pleasantly surprised when they also inspected my car and gave me an overall rundown of the car. It was nice to get data without having pressure to buy anything. Needless to say, I felt good enough about the place to go to them for air conditioning problems, which they solved. But they also noticed that my battery was about to die and informed me of it. I've noticed for months that my battery was getting weaker but the car was starting so I was okay with it. But Elliot told me that the battery should die any day now so I had them changed it. Maybe I could've milked a few more weeks, maybe not. But I'd rather not deal with the inconvenience with a dead battery. This place is good at looking out for their customers and I can tell they try really hard to be honest and legit.

There's a sign outside the shop that says "Auto Repair with Integrity" and they really live up to that. I walked into the office and met Phil and Elliott, who were personable, professional, and extremely helpful when I told them that I suspected my car had a leaking head gasket ( = $$$). They didn't jump to the conclusion that it was, but instead said that they'd take a look and that it could possibly be something else less costly to fix.
It turned out to be the head gasket, and they diagnosed other maintenance problems as well, but they never once pressured me to paying to fix those, and never made it sound like my car was in dire need of whatever. The shop was in constant communication with me, always letting me know the status of my car and made sure I didn't drive off without the problem being completely fixed. They also gave me a rundown of what was done to the car with prices, and explained any question I had about parts and service.
I really appreciate their honesty and urgency to get my car to me as soon as possible, even though they knew I wasn't in any rush to get it back.
And yeah, like Richard K. said, Phil has a GEO with 300k miles! A GEO!!

I have been taking my cars to Phil for about ten years. I have driven 30 to 50 minutes out of the way to have him do all my major auto work because I know he will give me an honest and fair assessment of what my car needs and do quality and timely work. I never have to be worried about being ripped off or getting shoddy work which is why I have always made the drive.
Phil used work in a place in Orange, but just opened his own shop in La Hambra. Now I not only get great car repairs by Phil, but I also great customer service from Elliot.
Trust me, once you go here- you won't go anywhere else.

If you are looking for a new mechanic because you are not satisfied with your current service or you are new to the area, look no further than Cornerstone auto. Phil and Elliot will take good care of you and your car. They are 100 % honest, will not over sell, have a clean shop and a fair price. I have known the owner Mr Nakhla for years and he has plenty of experience fixing cars even though his shop is new to La Habra.
He is certified and both guys are professional and curteous. They don't talk down to those of us customers who don't have a lot of under the hood know how.

I cannot say enough about this place. It is hard to find a good mechanic that you trust but I have been incredibly impressed with this place. I have had all of my cars serviced at this place and I have been totally impressed. One car had a check engine light and after they checked it out I was told that is was just a bad gas cap. I was blown away at suck a simple solution with no upsale on you "have" to get all of these things fixed. It is just funny. Would you ever think your mechanic would just call and say that it was going to be 12 bucks? Not only that the mechanic himself calls me the next day to see if I was satisfied with the service. That is customer service. 3 weeks ago I had my van too break down on a road trip and I had it towed 80 plus miles just so I could get back to this mechanic. He was able to get things fixed and up an running by the end of the next day. Great service. Knowledgeable mechanics. Straight shooters. I will go nowhere else.

Jos seems to be an honest mechanic. He didn't mind that I just wanted him to diagnose an issue and then I'd fix it for myself. He and his team have worked on our 2008 Mercedes c300 twice now. Please note that this establishment is cash only, though I do believe he let me pay via check the first time.

Great service. highly recommended. could not find a mechanic who could fix my Mercedes e320 issues. I searched on the web and found German Auto Service in La Habra 621 W. Whittier unit E. . After a complete computer scan of my car, they were able to find the issue and fix the problem. I could not be happier. No more dinging and annoying lights. problem solved.

I have a 2002 Mercedes C240. Love the car to pieces, but according to the dealership it needed serious TLC. Almost had a heart attack when they quoted me $10,000 for the repairs. Soooo, I got on the computer and found German Auto Services - best thing that could've ever happened. A live, intelligent person answered the phone and went through the work that was detailed on my service report. Waves of happiness came over me when their prices were a fraction of the original estimate. Without hesitation, I zoomed my little Benz over and they got right to work. No waiting around the lounge and speaking to a service manager. Direct interface with mechanics that know my car as if it was their spouse. Even better, on every occasion I've had work performed, it's done to perfection the same day! This is one very satisfied customer!!! AAAAA+++++
