George has saved me more times than I can count.
I have been going to this and his previous shop for two or three years now and I have never been anything less than supremely satisfied with the quick turn around of work and the price! I have a 2000 BMW and would not take it anywhere else as he has bent over backwards to help me out and even helps me find ways to find work arounds to problems I would need to pay him to fix for a car its age.
This man honestly puts customers before cash, and that is hard to find in this line of service.
But do bring cash to help get you the best price and quality service in town.

They are great and know their stuff. Professional, awesome shop. Mario replaced the starter and transmission mount in my 96 Celica and did a fantastic job. Very quick work once they got to my car (I left it with them cause they stay busy!). Couldn't be happier. Will be back. Thank you George and Mario!!!

My boyfriend recommended Spot 44 to me over four years ago. I'm so glad he did because I realized the work they did on my car turned out to be more thorough, better quality, AND cheaper than the mechanic I was going to previously! I didn't know how much my old mechanic was ripping me off until I went to George! I drive a 2004 Toyota Matrix and I've had tune-ups, suspension replacement, and minor repairs done here over the years. Both George and Mario are friendly, very knowledgeable, and HONEST. Apart from providing quality repairs and maintenance, they've been available to answer any questions I've had. I now take my car to Spot 44 for any maintenance or repairs I need and highly recommend them to my friends.

So, I've been doing business with these guys for over 5 years now. They worked on my cars and on my fiancee's car as well. And God, I had so many different cars those years. I remember when I stopped by with a complicated Porsche 944 from 1984 and they did it good. I had to buy a radiator hose for $400 at the dealership and George figure out a better way to solve the problem. With a $10 hose, he molded a new hose exactly like the Porsche original. The hose has been seating in my car for the past 4 years and the porsche is running like a champ. I'm also had a Mitsubishi Eclipse, a Mercedes ML320 and a Nissan Frontier, all taken care by George.

I went to three places to fix my tire before calling spot 44. I got a bolt in it and everyone was trying to tell me I had to buy a new $200 tire! I went to Spot 44 after reading some reviews since it is close to me, and they fixed my tire! Quick and cheap! This place is honest and will NOT rip you off. They also do a great job. Since then I have gone back to get my oil changed and have my trunk fixed. Same great service.

I took my Cr-v here early last year for an issue with the air conditioner because after shopping around (alot!) George gave me the absolute best price. And so glad i did because his work was awesome... No more issues, ice cold air conditioning. Now I have a Prius and he does ALL my routine maintence, it's way cheaper than the dealership! I won't take my cars anywhere else, and I tell everyone to go to him too. I'm just so glad I found an honest, affordable and quality mechanic finally! Thanks George!

We gotta to be honest... To find a honest, reliable, and affordable mechanic shop in Los Angeles is not an easy task. After looking around all over the city and have to deal with some terrible mechanics, I found these guys. OMG! They are super honest and reliable. I drive quite a lot and have a mechanic who's there to find a solution for my problem is what I need... Thank God I found Spot44!! I meet George and Mario 5 years ago, and never had any problem with them. My girlfriend and friends also go to Spot44 for all their mechanic needs and I've never heard anything bad about this mechanic shop.
I totally recommend Spot44... Do not waste your time looking around for a good mechanic. Give these guys a chance and you will never regret your decision!
Keep it up with the good work guys!! You guys are the best in Los Angeles!

I have a Prius which went out of toyota warranty recently ,so when a friend of mine who has a prius recommended Spot44 to me , I decided to give it a try. Glad I did! I worked with George who drives a prius himself and seems to know all things hybrid. The price was more than fair and my car is humming along. So happy there is an alternative to rip off Toyota dealerships.

After having enough trouble with mechanics all over town, I have finally found a knowledgeable, patient and honest mechanic. George is great. I first took my car there when another mechanic told me all four of my ignition coils were bad, and I decided to get a second opinion. George diagnosed it for free and assured me I didn't have to fix any of them. That happened again when we suspected the transmission mount was bad, but when he found out that wasn't the problem, he simply told me I didn't have to fix it. What kind of mechanic will do that for you in LA? None! Most of them will ask you fix stuff that works perfectly fine. When I finally had to fix something, he did the job quickly, gave me a great price and showed me exactly what he did and the torn old part he had to change. He will not try to fool you just because you are a girl with no car knowledge, like every other mechanic in LA. When another mechanic in Santa Monica gave me a 5K list of things to fix and said my car was shit (see my other review), I promptly took my car to George, he charged me $200 and the car is running great. I only wish he would take my warranty, but even then, totally worth it.
