I'm very very happy with Carrillo. I was driving through town on 101 between LA and Santa Cruz and my engine was overheating. I got Carrillo's name from an auto parts store guy and limped there with the gauge on hot. They could have taken me to the cleaners, but instead solved my problem is very short order at no cost. Integrity, capability, honesty, what more can you ask for? Thank you guys.

Great customer service and quality. I originally came when I had been to 3 other shops and had them "fix" my car, only to have the same problem. Carrillo actually found the problem and fixed it for way less than the other guys quoted me on work I didn't need. I've been a half dozen or more times now. I have a cheap backyard mechanic that I regularly use. But have relied on Carrillo for anything more complicated. Even when I use my mechanic I've found it saves me $ in the long run if I have it diagnosed by Juan and then tell my mechanic exactly what I need done. I gave it a 4 only because mechanics seem way too expensive to me.

Slimy con artists. Put the wrong parts in my car, "fixed" the wrong issue, and in the end I ended up a different shop and lost several thousand dollars.

Juan Carrillo and his staff were our Knights in Shining Armour!! Our van broke down on the freeway at night, while on business in Paso Robles. We were able to get the car down the freeway towards our hotel by starting and stopping for several miles. We took a wrong exit and found ourselves on a dark street full of automotive shops...all closed since it was after 7 pm...and then we saw a light on in one of the shops and walked up to see if they could loan us a screwdriver to try to get our van working. Even though they were clearly done for the day and enjoying a great BBQ, Juan said to bring the van up the driveway and he'd take a look at it. He not only told us what was wrong (a cam sensor), he called up a parts store and went and got the part minutes before they closed, then he installed it!! In our opinion, Juan Carillo and his staff went over and beyiond the call of duty to help us. We can't speak highly enough of their friendliness and professionalism. Going to Carrillo Automotive would be the BEST thing you ever do for your vehicle, your budget and yourself.

Shops like this are hard to come by anymore ..... Trustworthy, knowledgable and friendly service from the minute you walk in the door. I will definitely take my car back there whenever possible even though it's a couple hours drive from my home.
