I called to get an estimate on my cars transmission. The gentleman who answered the phone was rude and did not want to help me. Maybe he is sexist because I'm female? I found that odd considering I was calling around to several different transmission shops for estimates and everyone was helpful in answering my questions except this shop. It's probably a good thing he was rude and short with me because after reading the reviews on this shop on Google I'm so happy I didn't consider taking my car here. Terrible reviews. Look it up. Do not go here very rude and horrible reviews. I hope they go out of business.

This place screwed me over big time and kept wanting to charge me more. Their initial verbal quote went up by approximately $400 and it didn't fix the problem. It started overheating as soon as I drove it away so I took it back and they were like, "We don't test drive our cars when finished or we would never get work done." They then determined that the problem was my radiator (but I knew it wasn't) and got angry with me when I told them not to work on it. I took the car to another shop and they immediately ran some simple tests and determined I had a bad head gasket or head causing excess pressure in the coolant system. Why Puget Sound Auto Repair which is also A-1 Radiator couldn't correctly figure out or test a simple coolant system problem is beyond my understanding. After spending $1000 they never fixed the issue.
I also wrote them an email expressing my concerns they never responded and completely ignored it and I would have thought they never got it but they made a small comment about something when I was paying them that showed they did read the message.
I would highly recommend you avoid this place.

These guys will rip you off and charge you for stuff that that doesn't even need to be done. I lost about $1000 and they never fixed the issue so I had to take it to another shop in town. They are rude and very dishonest and lack integrity. Avoid them.

Complete BOZOS! I asked for a quote to replace an alternator on a vehicle; 2 bolts and 2 wires plus one bolt to loosen the tensioner. The quote was $573 + tax. The replacement part is $85. I got the job done for $275 at a reputable establishment. I would not recommend Puget Sound Auto for anything.

I was buying a used Ford truck from a private party in Port Orchard and wanted to have it checked out before purchase. This company gave the truck a clean bill of health, just citing "low coolant level". I thought, ok $10 for some coolant. The "low coolant level" was actually a leaking coolant bottle which cost $1000 to repair. Either they didn't diagnose that or they didn't bother to tell me what repair entailed. I don't think they caught it though. I took it to a Ford dealer and they saw it right away. Had I had it diagnosed correctly, I wouldn't have bought the car, or asked the seller for that much money off the asking price. So do yourself a favor and take a used car you are buying to a dealer who looks at that kind of car all the time.

This place is great! They were recommended to me by several co-workers when I needed to have my 60K service done last year. I went back when I had a ball bearing go out 2 months ago. My experience is that they are knowledgeable, competent and professional. As a single female, I don't feel patronized or talked down do as I have felt in other mechanic shops.

The owner was rude from the start. He verbally quoted me $649 but no written estimate. I called them a few days later to check on the car and He said they found some "bad pipes" and it would be an additional $300 for parts/labor. They never called me to tell me my car was done but instead I had to call them, again. I got my car back and it started overheating so I took it back and they said I had a bad radiator and would be another $460 but I was pretty sure my radiator wasn't the issue so I told them not to do any work on it. Rick got angry and said, "Fine, just come get it out of here." I took it to Long Lake Auto and told them what PSAR said and told them I thought PSAR was wrong and immediately they said it could be the head gasket as that is very common for my car. He did a simple test that checked for carbon monoxide in the coolant system and said it was either a bad head gasket or bad head. They gave me a written estimate of all the work that would be performed with two prices: one for the head gasket, and another if the head was bad. They called me each time they needed to do more work and were very friendly the entire time.
