This place should have way more reviews.
They are busy, having done multiple cats on multiple VW Beetles over the couple of days when my spouse took my old lady in for work. He was able to make an appointment right away, and they had it done faster than expected.
Less than $200 for a new cat that works perfectly.
Note: When we lived in Oakland, some scumbag cut the catalytic converter off of our older Toyota truck ($100 worth of precious metals, about $1,200 worth of damage to the exhaust system). I found a place in Berkeley that charged me around $750 and was grateful.
Which was why I was super-anxious about getting the cat replaced on my car. Now I'm seven for seven on excellent automobile service shops. That's a helluva run for a service industry that's usually fraught with con artists and incompetence.
Way to go, Dave's.

Dave's is a great place. A single bay, so you probably need to make an appointment. Dave took my Honda CRX and replaced the muffler, fixed all the hangers, made it nice. All for a good price.

Talk about a straight forward place and leaving out all the bs. Just had my catalytic converter replaced and saved myself $500-900 dollars. Owner and employee are fast and straight forward workers. They are excited to see you come just as excited to see you leave after being paid. I will come again!

It is hard to find honest business people any more but this man is one of them. I have taken my car to him twice and both times he found another issue with the car that would have sent me and my money somewhere else. He was honest enough to tell me that if he fixed the catalytic converter it wouldn't fix the car even if that was the code it was giving. He quoted me $300 less than the cheapest place I called to fix the catalytic converter to begin with then sent me away without working on it. I went today to have him replace it anyway since the code is still on there and again he found a different issue but did the work anyway after i asked him to at a very reasonable price. I would recommend him to anyone needing muffler or catalytic converter work done.

We were recommended by our mechanic to see Dave when our Honda Civic suddenly sounded like it had a glass pack. My husband called Dave and said he could have her fixed in a half hour. I of course was skeptical and brought my laptop to wait out the inevitable. Without more than a few words he had it up on the lift, told me my exhaust system looked fine and we only needed to replace a section of pipe. Ten minutes later, pipe fixed, I paid less than fifty bucks and I was on my way. I did look like an idiot putting my laptop back in the bag... But it was worth it to have my car fixed by a real pro! Impressive!

I went to Dave's shop about 20 minutes before he opened and as soon as he got there he got to work. Not only does dave and his partner do excellent work but they do it fast and very reasonable. I would recommend Dave to anybody needing exhaust work. Great guy and an honest one at that.

Dave is great. My wife called in and got a quote for the work to be done and got put on the schedule. He is normally booked out about a week but we were able to get in 3 days. Dropped off my car and he said that he is on time but if he was going to be late getting my car dine he would give me a call. Went in and picked up my car. He went out with me to have me inspect the work before I left his shop. I think that is the first time any business has ever done that. He wanted to make sure I was satisfied with the repair before I left. On top of that my bill was what he quoted. I recommend him for exhaust repair and plan on using him in the future.

You won't find a more honest man in Spokane. Dave and his team are the absolute best. I know nothing about cars and it would have been very easy for someone to sell me something I did not need. I thought I needed a new catalytic converter, he tested it and told me that it was a single part that I needed; he quoted me at less than half what other businesses did, which was great. He even checked the warehouse price for the part and told me it seemed too steep to him and he would look for a better deal. After it was done I called to see what the total was and it was even less than what he originally thought for parts and labor, saying it wasn't as difficult as it had originally looked. I am really impressed, I will be back!
