Nothing but good things to say about m & m and nick! My last visit I was greeted by nick's wife and their shop cat. A within a couple of hours nick called to let me know my old vw rabbit was fixed.
I got a very reasonable bill and my car sounds great!
All things considered my diesel rabbit is irreplaceable to me (50 mpg) as a general rule I do my own work but there are times when an expert is helpful, nick is that expert. If you own a classic vw or a late model you love. M and M can be trusted to treat your car right. I am in no way associated with m and m other than wanting to see them in business for many more years!

I don't know what happened to my original review months ago and alas, my Brain fog has kicked in and the details have blurred since my last visit. What I can tell you is that these guys did outstanding work. Service was professional, friendly, and the price was right. I will return to M & M again!

My husband and I wanted to give these guys a HUGE thank you for helping us out last summer. We were traveling cross country in our 76 VW "Lucy" and got in a bind. These guys took us right in got us fixed up and sent on our way!! We couldn't be more grateful!!

I have been using Nick's services for many years, until I've relocated to California with my vnagon Syncro.
I have to say that Nick and his staff is extremely knowledgeable and professional.
After trying several other shops and the dealer I have always serviced my VW Syncro at M&M - the quality of job was superb and those guys are very proud of their work and their skills.
I even had to call Nick several times from Cali, and ask for his advice. Nick was leading me or a mechanic at some Cali VW shop through the diagnostic.
Even the seasoned VW mechanic was very impressed with the advice and the assistance he has received from Nick.
I really think that the M&M is unique - it is not just good - it is very very good.

Nick is a true find. If you have VW (this is my 5th), you want a mechanic that knows the in's and out's of VW maintenance and that will give you a straight forward answer. The picture of his garage from long ago, lined with with new at the time air cooled beetles on the racks, speak for history of this shop.
I've taken my (new)beetle to him since I've moved to oregon in '05, maybe 4-5 times. Each time he was professional and on top of things. His maintenance plans are drawn from experience and make sense. I work on industrial high tech equipment for a living, so I know where he's coming from when he wants to prematurely replace parts.
Your VW will last forever if you keep on top of it.
I'm not sure what Cindy's problem was below, maybe she should go to a dealership and see what happens. At least she'll get to sit in a comfy waiting room while who knows what mechanic that day works on her car while someone else gives her an outrageous bill. I've been there...I know.

Nick at M & M automotive is true find. There's just about nothing in the world worth driving to Aloha for, but this is. M and M specializes in Volkswagons and, unlike the dealerships, they really know what they are doing. Nick is honest, reasonable and really nice. He picks me up from the Max station when I come to get my car! Nick is always honest about what needs to be done to my car and what can wait. I was going to sell my car (stupid Jetta is always broken!), but after finding Nick I'm reconsidering.
An honest mechanic! Go!

Underwhelmed. I don't know if Nick just didn't like me, my car, or both, but he had nothing nice to say to either one of us while my ride was there. For what it's worth, I feel their hourly rate is a little inflated (and never mentioned...hmmm...) and in my experience, I was sold a lot of "We're replacing this (even though it's fine) just because that's how we do things here." Never going back there.
