Quite possibly the best automotive shop in the country (and I've been to shops everywhere)...
The check engine light was on in my older Tundra. You never know how far down the rabbit hole that will take you. It was an O2 sensor. The truck also needed an oil change, tire rotation, etc. So I took it into Dennis Road Automotive on the recommendations I've seen here and online. Everyone was right. They were ready for me at the time of my appointment, they went over what work would be done and diagnosed the check engine with solutions and prices before work began. Here's the kicker, they even gave me a ride home and back (about 2 miles away). Originally, I had been considering trading in my truck for a new one, but the price and service level at Dennis Road Automotive were so good, I'm must going to go ahead with some of the higher-mileage maintenance on the vehicle and keep it around a little longer.
Friendly people, clear and precise explanations, fair prices and quality work make Dennis Road Automotive my new go-to auto shop. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

DRA has been providing service for the company I work for, for quite some time. My company referred me to them the day my Alternator went out on my Acura. Can't say enough good things about this place. I was waiting for a few weeks before the review, this allowed me to take my car, my wife's car, and mom's car to get a good sampling.
All I can say is customer service and honesty come first here. That's right, a mechanic can be honest.
They saved me from having to replace my compressor by simply replacing the gaskets. On my mom's car they saved her from buying a new compressor by giving her options for saving money.
When have you been to a mechanic that doesn't try to get more money out of you?
I have found a mechanic that I plan to take all of my vehicles to, they are family owned and absolutely top notch. Check it out!

Dennis Rd automotive is one of the best places in Dallas, for customer service, quick and prompt service and over all quality. I searched for a good mechanic to take my car to because I overall don't trust most mechanics and found that these guys are not only honest but they treat me with respect. They could easily tell me anything about my car and charge me outrageous prices but instead they tell me exactly what's wrong and charge fair prices.
I recently had my radiator go out late at night. I called them to let them know the tow truck would drop my car off so they could look at it and asked them to call me in the morning. They called me that same night and got me all set up for the next day. They had a new radiator installed and back to me the next day.
These guys are legit and come highly recommended by me.

I came into Dennis Road Automotive today on short notice. I called the shop about 11:30AM and asked if I could bring in my car to receive a second opinion on some maintenance items recommended to me from the Dealership. I made an appointment to come in around 1:30PM for them to take a look.
Walking into the shop, you will first enter the waiting room which is clean and well kept. There is WIFI, cold water, and a slew of well organized magazines to keep you occupied. The restrooms are well kept as well.
Sliding the adjacent door back, you enter into the edge of the garage and make your way to the front office. Here I was greeted by Jeremy and went through the list of things recommended by the dealership. He indicated that he had to run an errand and that someone else might go over the results of the inspection in his absence.
Their mechanics spent a little under an hour going over the items on my list. Jeremy came into the waiting room and sat next to me with a slip of paper with the results. Of all the things on the list, he found no material problems other than recommending air and cabin filters on the car.
Jeremy explained the methodology behind the dealership recommendations as a "one size fits all" type solution which often times based on car mileage and not actual condition. I actually appreciated that Jeremy didn't say anything specifically negative about the dealership service department. He explained that some people prefer to be more proactive than reactive to the condition of their cars. Also, when things break on premium cars they generally cost much more to fix. Seems logical.
My car will be 10 years old this year, and while I prefer my car to be in top running order, I don't want to spend $1300 on maintenance items which are just not "due". Jeremy was gracious enough to offer me a concession on their normal inspection fee as well which was greatly appreciated.
Given the above experience... though I have not yet spent a dime at Dennis Road Automotive, they have just gained a customer in the future.

Your review is a point blank LIE. You sent your wife into Dennis Road to get a list of problems with the car. YOUR mechanics at your Car Lot couldn't figure it out and YOU told Dennis Road, you didn't TRUST them. They spent close to an hour going over the car. Shop rate for ANY auto repair is around $90 an hour...very fair and reasonable. EVERY shop you take your car to will charge you a diagnostic fee to look over your car and spend the time to provide a written estimate. There are no FREE SERVICES. I have asked that they provide verification to my email, stating each one of these reviews are valid. I have also contacted Yelp to provide this info to them and to Google.
So you have lied and committed LIBEL against this business...If you didn't know, LIBEL is writing lies and other correspondence that can potentially cause a business to lose revenue. You can be SUED for that. I can assure you I have contacted our attorney to begin the process of researching YOU. We are going to run background checks, check for customer complaints and any other dirt I can dig up on you or your wife. The guys at Dennis automotive took care of my 2005 Pathfinder and will definitely be back for any future things I might need in automotive repair.
I had almost sold my Pathfinder due to the estimates from other repair shops on an emissions issue I had that was going to be thousands of dollars to replace catalytic converters and depending on that result may or may not pass inspection. I loved the vehicle and was upset that I was being forced to a decision when everything else seemed to be in good shape. I went to three other shops before I talked to Dennis Road Automotive. It wasn't till I talked to them that I felt I even got a straight answer.
I am a CPA and have heard about Dennis Road through a client that has had great success using them so I decided to let them have a look. Not only was I surprised that they were able to address the mechanical issues quicker and more competitively prices, but that they kept me informed every step of the way. They were fast, professional and competitively priced. You really can't ask for a better turn out and I am so glad to not have a car payment and still have my Pathfinder.
It is such a rare find when you can have confidence in a mechanic that they do what they say they are going to do and they stand behind their work. I hope to now keep the Pathfinder rolling confidently towards 200k miles and with the help of Dennis Road, have no doubt I will go there and probably well beyond.

I don't know if I've ever said this, but these guys are honest mechanics. I took my 2006 Nissan Altima here when my car ac completely broke down to get a second opinion. The 1st place I went was going to charge me $1200 and said I needed to replace the whole ac unit. This place found the issue right away, fixed it and my bill was $170! Quick, painless and most importantly honest. Will definitely go back here if I have other issues!

After being referred to Dennis Road by a close friend, I will never go anywhere else! They have brought back what is seriously lacking in today's businesses, customer service and honesty. I started out taking my Suburban there and now take our Lexus as well as my kids take their card to them as well. I have recommended them to many friends and everyone that has tried out Dennis Road has continued to work with them. That says an awful lot about the quality and integrity of this shop! I highly recommend Dennis Road Automotive and you should give them a try and compare them with your current shop. You won't be disappointed!
I worked with the Shop Manager, James, on several of our issues and he has always provided me with good information to make my financial decision and has followed through on 100% of the things he committed to. What more can you say?!!!!!

I have tested this mechanic again and again. They always come out on top. After any major estimate, I always bring the vehicle and the estimate to my mechanic buddy (secretly), and ask if the repairs needed are legit. Myself, I wouldn't know an accurate repair if it bit me in the butt!
Every time I show it to my buddy, he says it is legit and fair... every time. Over the course of 7 years, I have tested them many times and they always come out honest, affordable and worth every cent.
I met the owner. She is often around. I asked her about honesty and auto shops once. She said, "We have one simple motto. Can I go to bed and sleep at night after the work I did. If the answer is yes, then I did my job right."
That sums them up pretty darn well. They do the work like it's their own car in the driveway. Great job guys! Keep it up!

My Dad was taking his car here when Royal Lane was North Dallas.
I have been in and out of this shop with my cars, my kids cars, my wifes car, and referred them to many of my friends. Many of my single women friends go back because Chris always tells them the truth, doesn't overcharge, and does what he says is going to do.

These people are in charge of my cars. My car is too big an investment to just let anyone mess around under the hood! I have been going into their shop for about 4 years now. The shop is clean. The floors are clean. Martha Stewart may not have decorated their waiting area, but I don't go there to get decorating tips. These people fix my car. They charge me a fair price and they say funny things while I am in the office paying my bill. I have started getting the oil changed there too.

These guys are the real deal- honest, talented mechanics and fantastic customer service. My son has an old Firebird that has really challenged them and they have treated us like we are their favorite customers. They charge super fair prices and are also really nice to work with. There's a reason why this shop, now run by the founder's daughter, has lasted so long. We deal mostly with James who is excellent to work with. Can't say enough about how great they are.

Friendly, fair, thorough, accommodating... What more could you want? They are the best shop I've been to anywhere in the country - and I've lived many places (a close second is Autograff Motor Works in Salt Lake City). Dennis Road Automotive gave me a ride home while I left the truck in the shop all day - that was wonderful! (I do live within 2 miles tho). Just go see them. You'll be warmly welcomed, completely informed and reasonably charged for quality work. I'm now a regular and I would recommend them to anyone.

Excellent service. Brought my car in for a second opinion about some work Pep Boys said HAD to be done ASAP. A mechanic stopped his lunch break to come check it out and then they showed me exactly what they were seeing and that my car was fine. They didn't come up with any work they could charge me for. They didn't even charge me for the inspection. I was super impressed.
