No Accountability - I DON'T RECOMMEND THEM.
The prices were reasonable but they do hold themselves accountable to any damages to vehicle under their care. My vehicle was there from 7am to 2:30p. When I picked my vehicle there was long 1/2" wide scratch from rear door to tail light. The manager said that they are not responsible and invited me to go to the bays to see what could have scratched the truck..Their story did not add up. They said that my vehicle has been in the bay all day and the only time it left is when they did a test drive. The technician who did the work said that he would have noticed the scratch as big as it is. He said that he parked the car and the car next to me has been there for a while. Besides the car besides me is too short to make the scratch. If my vehicle was in the bay all day, the tech said that the scratch wasn't there when he was working on it and the car parked besides me has been there all day where else can the scratch from? It came somewhere in the bay or in their care. I just found out that a friend of mine also had problems with Innovation Automotive. I wish I knew this before I let them work on my vehicle. I will not recommend anyone to send their vehicle to Innovation Automotive.

buyer beware..
Took my Jeep in here because it was stalling occasionally. After they looked at it, they suggested the manifold needed to be replaced, as well as 02 sensor, and spark plugs, among many other things. They quoted me at about $1500. Since that's almost worth more than the car itself, I started looking at used cars. LUCKILY my car broke down about a month later and I took it into another shop that was closer. They fixed it for $200. All it needed was a standard tuneup (spark plugs and cap). I haven't had the problem since, and it's been over a month. Thanks innovative! Will not be taking my car here again..

Customer Service isn't dead after all.
My girlfriend took her vehicle to Innovative Automotive and was treated with a level of service beyond my expectations. I was shocked to hear what she was charged. Normally a woman gets ripped off at the mechanic. Not the case here. This place has changed my view of going to the mechanic.

I will go nowhere else when I need anything done with my vehicles. I bought a used MB C230 and the A/C didn't work. I took it here and not only was it recharged but, recharged to lower degree than required and that has been such a plus with the hot weather. I have come here again with another issue and I can tell you that no matter what, they have shown nothing but care and compassion for my safety over cost. They continue to keep taking care of me and my vehicles with a smile always. Very generous place ;)

So my break light is out and swung by a place to get it checked out. They took my car in and I was out of there in less than 10 minutes. On top of that, they didn't charge me a cent to fix it because it was just a bulb. But seriously...an auto shop that didn't want to take my money?! Crazy! Props to Innovative Automotive on Colleyville Blvd- I'll definitely be going back if I ever need anything again!

I stopped by just as they were opening this morning to see about replacing a headlight that had burned out. They didn't have the bulb for my car in stock - but they got it delivered, replaced the burned out one, and I was back to my day in less than 30 minutes. Now that's customer service!!! Thank you. I'll definitely be taking our cars back in the future when we need any work done!

You can get your vehicle repaired at a lot of places and it is expensive everywhere you go but with Joe John and Matt you get such excellent service and knowledge beyond compare. I used them for the first time about 6 years ago. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I personally watched Mr. Schulte look at a car out in the parking lot from his bay.....I was standing next to him......and the ford had a check engine light on.....Mr. schulte told me there would be 2 codes, and what number they would be......and DAMN IF HE WASN'T RIGHT!!!!! When the technician got done scanning it, he walked up to John and told John there were 2 active codes...and what the codes were.....and John looked at me and smiled....and my jaw dropped.......I have nothing but respect for John!!

Going to car shops give me extreme anxiety because I have been in so many situations where I was told that I needed to repair this and that for a ridiculous amount of money. Case in point, I took my Mercedez to get a second a opinion to Innovative Automotive (per my friend's recommendation) since my car dealership recommended I replace my alternator. I got a second opinion from Matt and he honestly and sincerely said that, he tested it over and over again even to a point of breaking, but there is nothing wrong with my alternator. He wishes there was, but nothing is wrong with it. A month later, and my car still works fine! Just pure, honest, hard working people that work there, especially Matt. It's a breath of fresh air to meet these type of people.
I told my husband about them, and of course, he is skeptic. But my husband calls Matt to get his car checked out for a repair, and just that one phone call, my husband goes... wow, what a nice, honest, knowledgeable person! Matt explains in detailed but layman terms what is wrong (or not wrong) with your car.
If I could give them a MILLION stars I would. I recommend them to everyone!

I went here to get an inspection done. I entered at 8:03am today. Upon entering, I made eye contact with one of the employees and he just stared and continued doing what he was doing. He then went around to look at more vehicles and again looked up at me in the office and said nothing. I walked out. No worries, I'll take my money elsewhere.

I just called to get a price quote on something diagnosed at another shop (and I fully understand that the repair could end up being more involved than what the previous shop quoted me), and they refused to give me price quotes for the specific parts I was told I needed. I explained that I am just calling around to see what these specific parts cost, and I understand that the repair could be something completely different and I would not be holding that against them. He said that they use "highest quality parts" so they would probably be higher and still wouldn't give me prices. He said I could bring it in, pay to have it diagnosed and then they could give me a quote. Nope, I'll take my business elsewhere. I was hoping to find a trustworthy mechanic in the area since I moved here recently, obviously this is not the place for me. Two stars instead of one because the guy I talked to was very polite

I went here because of the reviews, Yes I do have an older car but was well maintained. My first repair experience was good, their auto diagnosis recommended another repair , I've known about this issue before but got it fixed here because their labor charge was lower and closer to home so I decided to get it done here
Ugh do I regret it, the day after the repair, I had noticed a small puddle of oil under my car which I didn't have issues with before, checked under my hood and noticed oil splatter, so I took it in and they claimed it was my turbo going out which was sucking in my oil and look into possibly getting a new car since repair cost would be outrageous...
I went and got a second opinion, and this mechanic actually let me see under my car and showed that my turbo was perfectly fine and dry... the actual issue was that they never even sealed my car and the oil was splattered and leaking on the inside,
I went back to IA and showed Matt and I got a "our bad" their mechanic who worked on it was new and so on
Well they did make it right and fixed it correctly this time and Matt said they'd clean the inside of my engine of the oil that was everywhere...everything seemed fine until couple days after I had noticed another puddle, I had checked my liquids and noticed my coolant was down to nothing , filled that drove home, I went to get a second opinion and was told there was a small puncture on the inner engine area of the radiator, I could only think this was the cause of IA from cleaning my engine of the oil mess....wouldn't you? and the other mechanic thought the same... I did call Matt in regards to this and asked could this be an accident from cleaning the inside of my engine, wow his tone definitely changed and was very defensive on it... I decided not to go back , I was afraid something else would get ruined, If you want honesty French's in Irving and Watauga Automotive is the way to go

I discovered Innovative about 6 months ago and have been back twice since. They have very good prices on Amsoil synthetic oil changes. I stopped taking my 2011 Infinity G37 Convertible to the dealership for oil changes because the guys at Innovative say that they report oil changes to Carfax. So the car's warranty will remain intact. I've also taken my wife's car there. The guys there are always very friendly and really know cars. They don't try to sell you more than you need or ask for. It's a great place.

In all my years of dealing with auto mechanics, I have never been more impressed than I have with the guys at this place!
Joe John (that's his first name) and Matt really know what it means when they provide awesome customer service.
Simply put, these guys ROCK!
I'm fairly new to Texas and had to have my car registered with new lic. plates for Texas. In order to do that, you have to have your car pass a vehicle inspection and emissions test. These guys were close, convenient and quick!
A few weeks have gone by and yesterday I brought my 05' Neon in to have it generally inspected and to also have the brakes done. These guys pulled a Buzz Lightyear and went to infinity & beyond!
There is no doubt, I will be back to have my car serviced annually and as needed. I have found my new favorite auto mechanic!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I went for a state inspection and the service was very fast and reasonably priced. They even discovered a problem with my tires and informed me that they appeared to have never been rotated (despite the fast that I have paid for rotation services at other shops previously). They took the time to answer any questions that I had and also referred me to a shop that works only on my type of vehicles for the future. I'm so glad that I stumbled across this place. I will definitely be back when I need maintenance done on my car.

This place is fantastic! I have a work schedule that doesn't allow me to drop off/pick up my car before closing time and Innovative worked with me so I could drop off my car and pay over the phone so I could come back at my convenience to pick it up.
As far as the customer service goes, they took the time to explain all of the issues with my car and didn't push me at all to repair more than I wanted to. They offered to provide me a list of all the recommendations so I could budget and plan for some of the more minor repairs. I decided to go ahead and have everything repaired and they informed me that there was a reduced price for performing all of the services in one day. Additionally, when they gave me the final total, it was about $100 less than the original quote.
Overall, the customer service was excellent, the prices were competitive, and so far, it seems the repairs I requested have held up! I highly recommend Innovative Automotive!

Took my 1999 Isuzu rodeo to be assessed for problems with shifting and rattling noise. They were able to find the part for the shifting issue but it was going to be around $600 plus $300 labor and they recommended that it was not worth the money to do so. They were able to show me how to bypass the mechanism so that I could shift out of park. They also look into the rattling noise and found that there was a cover underneath near the heatshield that was bent and they unbent it so that it would stop the rattling. They just charge me the $50 fee to do the evaluation and nothing else. I think it was great customer service. I would definitely recommend them & would go back to them again.

This place is fantastic! Recently, the oil light came on in my car. I am religious about oil changes and general maintenance so I was a bit baffled. I took the car to Firestone on the way home because I needed tires anyway. The guy there quoted me about $1000 to fix the oil issue, but couldn't really articulate what was wrong. I don't think he was being shady, just really didn't know what he was talking about. I took my car to Innovative. Within 5 minutes, the guys found the REAL problem, They took me out to my car to show me what was wrong and found something else that was easy and inexpensive to fix that definitely made my car much safer to drive. All in all, it was less than $250 to fix the problems. These guys were super courteous, prompt and respectful and were interested in making sure that I was safe. When I picked up my car from the owner the next day, he even gave my daughter a tour of the shop and showed her all of the cars. This place is the best in town!

These guys are great. We just relocated up here from League City and so had not found our go to mechanic, but we have now. We started taking our Infiniti to Goodyear because they are right down the street from us. Well the last visit to Goodyear was the straw that made me start looking for someone else. Yelp led us to Innovative Automotive. Awesome customer service. DC and Craig were great. Goodyear quoted us 1399. Innovative charged 438. Car is running great, no more rattling, pulling or smelling burning oil and they even give a 24 month, 24000 mile warranty on work done. It took Goodyear 5 hours just to give us that quote. It took Innovative 5 and a half hours to give us the quote and fix the car. The majority of that time was spent on fixing the car. Craig did a bumper to bumper inspection looking for any problem areas. From now on Innovative will be the only ones that work on my car.
Customer service is great, they take the time to explain everything they find and show you the work they are doing. They explain what should be fixed right away and what can wait a little bit. I also need new front lens covers and DC called all over getting pricing for me, not because I asked him to but because that is the kind of customer service they provide. They try to get you the best prices possible on any parts you may need.
Next month I will be taking it back to them for my state inspection and alignment and final work I want done and I already have a very reasonable quote for that work.
Joe John even gave me a recommendation for the best BBQ place around here, so will be trying them out too.

Matt has always been incredibly helpful, prices always reasonable and these guys will do everything they can to get you on the road safely. We had a lemon vehicle a few years back and these guys spent countless hours diagnosing problems to find a solution. If you need a good mechanic then look no further than innovative auto. I was overcharged for my inspection. Instead in giving me a 2 year safety on my brand new car the gave me a one year inspection. When I was in their shop I tried to tell them they might be,overcharging me based on what I was told at the tax assessor'a office. They denied and charged me 25.50 instead of the 7.00. I went back to tax office,to get my tags and registration and was told I was chsrged too much and they would turn the business I to TX DPS. I then called and Talked to Matt the manager and he refused to take any ownership for his mistake or refund what he overcharged me.

I have used innovative auto for over 5 years now and have had nothing but awesome for Customer Service honesty and great workmanship. I have brought my truck to other places where they could not find the problems and charged me $4,000 leaving the problem still happening and I brought my truck to innovative immediately after and they grease my bearings free of charge and fix the problem. I also have had many many other issues and everytime I bring any one of my vehicles and they take care of me at a great price and they are 100% honest with me. I want to thank them 100% As Matt has been nothing but a godsend.

I take my Infiniti and Lexus to Innovative Automotive and they always have great prices and very friendly management and employees. I've dealt with Matt the manager, the most and I would trust him with any car. I've been a shade tree mechanic for over 35 years and I'd say I have above average knowledge about auto repair. In my experience, these guys are as good, honest, and fair as they come. It's nice to have a good neighborhood garage.
