Ridiculous! Rude Office Manager and Unorganized

So I dropped off my car for a simple oil change. Guy tells me it'll be 45 mins. I go with my friend to run some errands and come back over two hours later and no oil change! Office manager just says "we got busy". Didn't try to make it right just said "give him back his keys" wasted hours on a busy day. Will never go back.

Be care full at Candrells. They do a lot of guess work in tring to repair your care. They were going to charge me $450 to fix my car...I took it to another place and it ended up costing me $150..And this was 2 yrs ago.

I am in love with the service given at this shop! Candrell Car Care was recommended to me a few years ago and I have been going here ever since! As a single female, I struggled with finding a loyal mechanic who wouldn't scam me and my money. Alone, having my brakes fix was only $175 + tax vs the competitors would charge $600 +. This is a very trusted auto shop and I recommend it!

Ridiculous! The two guys I dealt with when I got there seemed cool. All I needed was a simple oil change and the guy said it'll be about 45 mins. I went with a friend and ran some errands and came back two hours later and the work wasn't done!! There was some other guy in the office and his simple explanation was "we got busy". I didn't have the time to sit there and explain to the guy how inconvenient this really was. He didn't even apologize. When I talked to the other guy and said I don't have time to stick around and do this right now the rude guy just says "give him his keys". Very abruptly. Rude, unorganized, and terrible customer service. I won't go back.

I went in to get my car fixed (struts, ball point, windshield). I'm new to Dallas and finding a mechanic that will not nickel and dime me is important. I was under duress about my car, and they were very professional and nice -- made it sound like it wasn't as bad as I thought. It was bad.. :-/ but I know it could have been worse per my mechanic friend. They charged me $1500 and some change (not sure if this was overly priced, because shops always try to take advantage of women). Overall, they were very professional and courteous throughout. They got it done in a few days. My baby looked fine -- drove fine.
However a day or so later my car started to sound louder when I started it up and drove around my block. Wondering if something wasn't connected back. Things that they fixed should not have affected my engine and how it sounded. My car absolutely did not sound like this when I brought it to them; even when my struts and ball point was busted, I drove it up there and it was quiet.
They assessed it told me is the the engine mount, and they could fix it -- how convenient of them! It's hard to say if my accident caused it or if they did it, but I KNOW MY CAR. It could have just snapped (sitting in my parking lot) And she did not sound like that when I took it to them -- she did not. She's my baby. They gave me a quote that it would take 2 hours for $539! For a MOUNT?!! + Labor Mounts run $20-$40 They must have a rate of like $210 hourly. :-0 I'm bummed b/c I could not/would not do it at that moment (I'm u/e and job searching right now). And I would need to take it back -- with the possibility that they can potentially mess something else up for me to have to take it back AGAIN :-(
I decided to call another mechanic (mobile mechanic) that has previously worked on my car (starter, brakes) so I trust him. Told him what was wrong, he was able to diagnose over the phone before I even told him everything. He gave me an estimate to fix my car -- that I literally cried tears of happiness over the phone, because he's able to fix it for over 80% less than what Candrell Car Care quoted me. And I trust this guy.
I called my mechanic friend in NC and he advised me that what this place would charge is ridiculous for what I need fixed.
So why not take it to the mobile guy in Dallas initially? I was under duress and I needed to get my car fixed and I was given this place as a recommendation.
Looks like I will not be coming here again.

I've been coming to Candrells for a long time. The Mesquite location was my preferred location but Since they closed that one a few years Back I began coming here. Tammy is friendly,helpful and knowledgeable. She has taken care of my cars very well. The prices are very reasonable and you can't beat the prices on the oil changes. Give them a try.

Very honest people to do business with. I went to F-Stone first to get a estimate on some brake work for my wife. Those crooks told $1400 basically saying she needed everything under the sun to be done to the brakes. So I took her vehicle to Candrell's and they were amazing. I showed them the paperwork from that other place, so they inspected the brakes for FREE and told me I didn't need half the stuff done those crooks said I did. They were EXTREMELY knowledgable, friendly, and did great work. I ended up spending $300 instead of $1400 for the work, needless to say they have AWESOME prices to. Nice to see honest people doing business not trying to take advantage of the consumer.

Run far away from this place. Car started making noises after they fixed my rear breaks. First time they were helpful and found that one of the bolts they reused was coming off so they took care of the issue. It started again and the second time they were not as friendly. Even though it was the same issue they couldn't find the problem this time and started saying it was something else. The biggest issue I had was how I was treated by the manager named Bob. When I told him I didn't appreciate how he hung up on me earlier because we weren't in agreement on what they were finding. He then raised his voice and yelled and cursed at me. Have never been treated like this from a business. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!

Let me start this off by saying I rarely write reviews. I replaced the upper and lower intake gaskets on my 2001 Silverado. When I put everything back together I was getting a timing error code (P1345). I normally do all the work on my own but I didn't have the computer to reset the timing. There wasn't very much information online and even when I went in they weren't sure how exactly to do it. Told me it would cost me $90 for them to fix the issue. He also said that if he couldn't fix the issue he wouldn't charge me anything. I received a phone call from the owner (originally talked to a someone different). He said it would cost an additional $89 to fix the issue, the first $89 was for the diagnostic test. I politely explained to him what the previous employee had quoted me and he honored it no questions asked. Ive been driving my truck now for just under a week and the error code has not reappeared. I thought they were very professional and friendly. If I ever have to take my truck in again for any engine work I will take it back to Candrell. He's been there since 1987 for a reason.
