I took my Toyota Camry to Alan Cox Automotive for a routine service. They did an excellent job with the routine service and got me in and out really fast. I would highly recommend them for any car service or repair. Great business!

Easy in, easy out!
I took my Corolla here for an oil change recently and had a very pleasant experience. They let me know my brakes were due to be replaced but were NOT pushy about it at all. I told them I had an appointment to get them done elsewhere, and that was the end of that.
The place is a little tricky to find if you're directionally challenged like myself.

I recently had my vehicle serviced at Cox Automotive. The front desk was reasonable, however the mechanic that worked on my vehicle customer service was terrible. I wanted to find out the root cause of my vehicle's issue and the mechanic had such a negative attitude. Furthermore, the problem the mechanic was not the problem. I ended up taking the vehicle to another mechanic (Ozzie's Mechanic Service off Holcomb Bridge) that resolved the problem within 15 minutes of looking at my car. If your looking for quality service I would recommend you looks elsewhere. A total disappointment and waste of time!

Back in 2007 my 1995 Accord had tranny issues and based on recommendations from my Autocrossing circles I was running in back then I took it to Alan Cox.
It was confirmed the car needed a new tranny so they put in a re-build (which is a better way to go than used). When I got the car back it drove very well. It did seem to have some rough shifts; and I discovered some fluid on it immediately after getting home with it. I let it go for a few days before checking it again to discover more fluid. I took it back in to have them look at it. They determined that it was run-off oil from the VTec silinoid gaskets they replaced and that it just takes a few days for all the oil and cleaned of residue to make its way down. They also adjusted the shift points a little as well. With the rebuilt tranny I have a 12 mo. or 12K mile warrantee which makes the deal tough to beat.
To date, my car is driving and shifting just about as smooth as it ever did.
The guys there, Nick and Jonathan, etc., all seem to be super nice and courteous. We'll see how the tranny does in the long run but so far I am very satisfied with their work.

We take our Kia and our Nissan to Alan Cox Auto and we have always been 100% satisfied with their work, and the fair price that they charge. Jeremy does the work on all of our cars, and I would refer anyone to him!
I can't say enough good things.

Tried to rip me off!!! Ok, so when I got a $450 estimate at another garage for an altinator for my wife's car, I called Allen Cox Auto to price one out. So they told me it would be $430. I asked why it was so expensive given that autozone quoted me $130 for the part. They explained that Autozone was a rebuilt part and that their product was a factory part which would be more reliable. OK fine. 3 days later I took my wifes car there and dropped it off over night. They called me the next day and quoted me a price of $690 to replace her Altinator!!! I told them I was the one to call in and ask for a quote several days before and why did they quote me $430 to begin with? The guy said that He must have looked up the wrong part number. I told them to forget about it, I would take it somewhere else. They said they could also put in a rebuilt altinator for $575. What!!!!! So What happened to the factory altinator that they quoted me for $430 days before? So I told them I would come pick it up and take it somewhere else. 30 secconds later I got a call back saying they would go ahead and do it for $450. I get the feeling you cant trust any mechanics these days and these guys do not help the reputation. I would not trust theses guys!!!

I have to update my review... Two months ago, I had service on my Acura at their shop. I called the following week to inquire about transmission slipping and the person who answered the phone told me it was just the cold weather and I shouldn't worry about it. This morning my transmission failed completely on 400 and I was stranded for over an hour on the side of the expressway with 18 wheelers screaming past my doors at 80mph. I am extemely fortunate that Acura extended their warranty on recalled 02 TL transmissions until 7 years, 9 months or 100K miles. My car sits at 7 years, 4 months. I had the car towed to Ed Voyles and the repair, a loaner and the tow are going to be covered under my warranty. Had my transmission hung on for just a few more months, I'd be looking at several thousands of dollars worth of repair on a car that's already thousands of dollars upside down in equity. I am furious to learn that such a significant detail was not considered. To call themselves Acura specialists, they should, at the very least, be cognoscente of Acura recalls and defects and act as expert consultant and advisor to your clients.
I can't say I am disappointed in that service they performed, but I expect more from a specialist, much more.
They seem honest and fair. If price is your primary motivator or you don't want to travel to the East Top Side, I can still recommend them. However, if you think something is wrong with your car, you might want to make the trek over to EV to have them diagnose. You can still have AC do the work. Jacknson Acura I would avoid

Had all of my friends with s2000s recommend Alan Cox. They explained everything over the phone and were ready to go when I came in. They took less time than I was told and did a great job adjusting my valves. My car is now noticably smoother when revving

Jeremy, Nick and the rest of the crew at Alan Cox Automotive are superb. Very honest folks and up front. I would recommend them to anyone. Skip the dealer and pay less and have piece of mind. No better shop for Honda S2000. They know these cars inside and out.

Dependable and courteous. They fit me in when I need them without first having to making an appt. So they are great in an emergency. Fun to hang with while your car is in their shop. AND they never do any repairs without first discussing it with you. They help me plan ahead for more expensive repairs that will need to be addressed. I recommend them to anyone who has a Hona/Acura. They know their craft well. I easily rate them 5 stars.
