Honest & Trustworthy
Wow. I came to Congress Auto Service for an oil change. The engine is a turbo so oil changes can be pricey. It was the most affordable one I've EVER gotten. Plus my check engine light was on. I was planning on going elsewhere to be checked. Sam at Congress Auto checked it without me asking. It turned out that the gas cap has been stolen, resulting in "check engine light". Sam took care of me and I didn't have yo pay am and a leg at a dealer to diagnose the problem.
Believe me when I tell you guys, even just having flat tires or any problem either major or simple, they always take the extra step by topping all fluids, checking pressure on tires, to make sure I'm driving a safe car. Congress auto really want what's best for their customers and totally have my TRUST.

Great prices, reliable, top notch mechanical work. Sam replaced a wheel bearing for me on a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse and did a fantastic job. He was significantly less expensive than other repair shops; he replaced this bearing for almost $200.00 less than Family Auto in Boynton Beach.

It seems hard to find an honest mechanic these days. I have been to Congress Auto twice and have been pleased both times. The first time Sam saved me $500.00 by doing a repair a different way but he gave me the choice. The second repair Sam checked the car before I left to ensure it was right and it was. Just a good trustworthy mechanic. Oh and don't be fooled by the outside, its the knowledge inside that counts and the honesty.

My family and I have been taking our cars to Sam at Congress Auto Service for over 7 years and will continue to do so. He is honest , reliable and has a vast knowledge on all different kind of cars , from luxury cars that we have owned( Mercedes, BMW's, Audi) to Honda, Toyota and our family Jeep. He recently fixed a window problem on our Jeep and serviced it as well. He always tops off all fluids and checks the tire pressure and all at a reasonable price.
Thank you Sam,

My air conditioner was not working. I went upon a recommendation of someone, but I'm sorry I did because after spending over a grand (in all over the course of 3 separate times) I still don't have AC. First, I tried the freon thing, which all leaked out. Another mechanic said it would be $300-something to fix. I took it to George's and he said that guy was wrong and that it was something else, so it was nearly $400. I got my AC back but it only lasted about a week. I took it back, and he said it was another thing. I spent another almost $500. It worked for about two weeks, and then once again... stopped working. So after the third attempt and too much money spent, I am not ever going back. The only reason why I gave 2 stars was because he did spend a lot of time trying to weld something so I appreciate the effort there, but there was no guarantee of work and still driving around in the blazing hot FL sun with no AC. Also very disorganized. Receipts all over the place. I know most mechanics are very messy but if you can't even find a receipt for a customer who is standing right in front of your face, then that is beyond messy and would be classified in the "disorganized" category. Sorry... not happy. I should have used a mechanic up the street but I went by my friend's recommendation.

I live an hour north of George's (and work 2 hrs west) but decided to use him as a friend of mine recommended him. He replaced the brake pads, and when I picked up my car I noticed the center emblem of the hub cap was missing on the front driver wheel. He insisted that it must have been missing when the car came in but said he would look for it at the end of the day and that he would replace it if he couldn't find it. I felt that was fair. Once I was halfway home, I checked the onboard computer and he had only reset it for the rear pads not the front. So now I needed to find time to drive back down to have the computer reset for the front.( I also had a flat tire on the way home in my new tire-a nail - coincidence maybe?) In the mean time I purchased a used emblem off ebay $55 like he told me. When I returned to have the work completed, I asked if he could also check my ac, he did, said he needed more time to trouble shoot it, that he didn't have time. No problem. He then said, I'll just deduct 50 off the ac work when you come back. I told him no, that wasn't the deal as I live so far away, I don't know if or when I can get back. I never got ugly or disrespectful but I wouldn't give in. He finally said that he didn't want me as a customer that I was a crazy bitch!
