I was driving to work the other day when it was like 12 degrees outside. Half way to Praxair, my Toyota Camry couldn't do the highway speed limit without making this crazy shimmy that felt like the front end had a serious issue. It scared me but I was closer to work than to home...plus my favorite mechanic is right around the corner from the office. So I slowed down and kept going...strait to Ken Ton auto shop!

It scared me but I was closer to work than to home...plus my favorite mechanic is right around the corner from the office. So I slowed down and kept going...strait to Ken Ton auto shop!
Rick, the regular face and voice over at Ken Ton's, said he was swamped...but he would fit me in. I could see that they were busy because it was only 9 AM but already there was hardly a place to park.
They listened to my story and asked questions to get the details about what was wrong with the car. Later that day.. Rick said I needed two tires and a to balance the others. I wasn't so sure that was going to fix my shake and strange noises.. But after coming to these guys for years I learned to trust them. I trust them to do a thorough inspection when my car is on the lift, to make the correct diagnosis and to give me a fair price on the service.
Once again Rick and the Ken Ton team came through. I drove home that night feeling like I had a new car again. I was so happy and I really appreciated the fix! The guys at Ken-Ton are life long career mechanics; they are the real deal. They will tell you like it is...but always treat you fairly. What more can you ask? Ken Ton is a rare find these days I suggest you try them out.

Very happy to have been recommended to Ken-Ton by a friend. They were friendly and took the time to explain everything to me despite being shorthanded and busy. I expected to have to leave my car at the shop over the weekend but they got it fixed that same day! Very refreshing to go to a mechanic and be treated with respect and courtesy. I will definitely be bringing my car here from now on.

This guy is either horribly dishonest or completely incompetent. Brought my BMW in when it lost all power. 1st visit costs $145.78 for replacing 2 light bulbs and lubrication of the ignition. Car started but less than one week later it lost power again. This visit, i was charged $211.38 for diagnostics with a recommendation that the fuse box be replaced at a cost of $193.50. Luckily I had researched the issue and found a (common) BMW recall related to the problem. Even after i told him about this recall he claimed he could not find the recall anywhere. Ultimately the BMW dealer repaired the issue free of charge. By the way, during my 1st visit he also told me i needed brakes and rotors on all 4 tires but at the BMW dealer i was told i needed only front brake pads. Don't let his nice guy act fool you, he will take advantage of you if you let him. Don't ever go there!

I've had work on my import at this particular establishment on two separate occasions prior to the third visit for service and each time I was very happy, the third visit was very disappointing. I needed some semi extensive work on my vehicle. I brought it in , dropped it off and waited to here back from them with the diagnosis and cost. After discussing the issues I approved them to move forward with the work. After I received my car back I was pleased with a portion of the work, but not the other. So I expressed my concerns to Stan and another employee I made another appointment for them to address the issue. They addressed one of the concern, and claim to have fixed the other problem which was my biggest concern. So after picking up for a second time after driving it for less than 15 mins. I discovered the problem had not been fixed. So I called back and expressed my concern and I got a bit of an attitude and was told to bring it back a third time to address this issue. So Monday I bring it in the person ( Stan) that told me to bring it in wasn't there. A employee brought it in put it on the hydraulic lift and reported that he could see my concern with the exhaust system. I was told that the noise was because they used an after market part which I never gave them permission to do. I was not given the option of putting genuine parts on my car versus after market. The solution was to reorder the original genuine part credit me for the work on the after market part and fix the problem. Well I'm writing this review because as I write it I still haven't been contacted by the shop about my new parts after I reached out to them twice about the part I was told that they would call me back two days in a row, but I haven't heard back from them yet my exhaust is still loud, and after spending over $2,300.00 I am very disappointed. I have owned several imports in the past and understand the expense that comes with owning one. I don't mind spending top dollar to repair my vehicle, but I also expect top service at a high level and I did not receive that from this repair shop this time so I will not be returning for any future repairs. I'm out of a great deal of money with most of the work done, but I'll have to spend even more to find someone else who will finally fix it properly.

Two cars and 4+ years later, we have spent a small fortune here, literally. However, what keeps us coming back is trust. Staff is always helpful and friendly, and while they may not be the cheapest around, the tradeoff is well worth it. We have had everything from inspections to some very major reconstruction performed here, and they know our cars pretty well. This place may not be for everyone, but if peace of mind and honesty are high on your priority list, then do not hesitate to give them your business.
