MY PARENTS HAVE USED ALL STAR AUTOMOTIVE FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND I USED THEM RECENTLY AND FOUND THEM TO BE VERY HONEST, HELPFUL, AND THEY WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO GET ME TO WORK AND REPAIR MY CAR THE SAME DAY. CALL AND ASK FOR MIKE OR ALLEN, THEY WERE GREAT TO WORK WITH.

Allstar Automotive are a great group and do amazing work. From the helpful and friendly staff, to the management that genuinely cares about each customer, this shop is what its supposed to be. They are very excellent at what they do. I trust them and I know that they will help me get the best deal and best service. So I call my auto repair shop at 7 p.m., knowing they close at 5 p.m., and my mechanic Larry, also the owner, answers the phone. He's there late working on my car because he knows I need it, and even though the pump he needed came in late today he is going to make sure it's done tonight so I can have it tomorrow. Allstar is a FANTASTIC company. Dropped my vehicle off with Larry this morning for a ticking in my engine that had me seriously worried for the worst and just received a call that it was finished. Not only was the problem not nearly as bad as i anticipated, but he completed the tune-up and repair in less than 12 hours. I could not be happier with Larry and his attentiveness to my older vehicle. Best of all, Larry always answers the phone and is very easy to get in touch with. I will continue to take all of my vehicles to Allstar for any mechanical issues i might have and always recommend them to my friends and family.

My friends at Wallace referred us to Allstar for our vehicles that aren't quite as special as the S2000. They were spot on! Our son's Jeep (before he blew it up), our 2006 Dakota pickup, and our 25 year-old Mazda...they're all regulars at Allstar. They're honest, forthcoming, and they tell it like it is. When my brother's Jeep's brakes locked up on I-95 coming through Richmond---straight to Allstar. They really are our go-to for car service!

Larry and Dave are awesome! Went in for the first time almost a year ago after reading great web reviews. Now returning the favor. Where other mechanics have not been able to diagnose properly these guys nailed it every time. They're not pushy, they tell you straight up whether it needs to be fixed or not (i.e. they dont pretend it needs to be fixed just because they want your money) and they always go the extra mile (no pun intended). I dont mind paying an extra few bucks to get this kind of quality service. Allstar is case and point that privately owned shops can still compete.

I have been taking my car to Allstar for 4 years now - and I recommend them any and every chance I get. They are fair with their pricing and do a great job. If you make an appointment they adhere to it and if you don't make an appointment, they are relatively flexible.
There is a waiting room with a plush couch to sit in (very comfy!) and a keurig machine! Also there is a little Pomeranian dog named Tahiti who belongs to one of the owners and hangs around. She is very cuddly and sweet.
Staff are extremely helpful and professional without being stuck up in the least. I do not feel like they are trying to rip me off at all. I highly recommend them to anyone needing any kind of car work done!

VERY DISAPPOINTED after being quoted one price over the phone to install spark plugs, cabin and engine air filter, only to find out it would cost me an extra $50 once the work was finished. The labor was not more than an hour and I supplied my own parts. I have been coming to this shop for 2 years and will consider going somewhere else because of price gouging.

I have used Allstar Automotive for a quite few things on mine and my husband's cars. I was very disappointed after our move to Texas to get some work done and to be told by the mechanics that whoever was working on my minivan wasn't doing a very good job. They left things unplugged and not put together very well. I had my van serviced there 2 months ago and spent $1000 getting various things fixed. I was told I needed a sensor replaced to get my check engine light to go off at the tune of about $100. I declined and said sensors don't matter much and I don't want to spend more than $1000. At the shop today, they told me something was unplugged and that it was the cause of my check engine light being on. Plugged back in and voila! My check engine light is now off. You'd think after spending $1000 they wouldn't lie to you about some sensor to make another $100. Not to mention, they didn't change my air filter when they changed my oil and it wasn't even put in correctly from when they checked my filter and told me it needed to be changed.
If you use them regularly, think twice. I don't trust them.

Found this shop when needing an emergency electrical fix. I called Allstar, and even though it was late in the day they said they'd look at the problem and fix it if possible. Allen accurately diagnosed my car's problem and got right to work. He was very accountable, even showing me the blown bulbs and wires that were causing the issue. I waited in the shop's office/lounge, and while it wasn't the tidiest room ever, they did offer coffee, $1 snacks, and the bathroom was very clean. Within an hour of my arrival, Allen had my car fixed, and the bill was VERY reasonable. Usually I am suspicious of mechanics and dread any auto shop visit, but these guys were so helpful that I left in a great mood!
