One of the nicer and most honest shops I've dealt with. I wish I lived closer so I could bring my cars to Wine Country Motors (WCM) for more mundane things like oil changes. Kelly is what I refer to as an "old school" mechanic. By that I mean, he listens to the customer and then fixes what's needed. He never pads the bill or adds on things. That's why I continue to recommend WCM since, unlike a dealership, Kelly won't recommend things to just pad the bill. A fried that lives in Sunnyvale (about 85 miles away) had a no-start problem (where her car would randomly not start). After doing what (little?) we could, I recommended she send her car (it had to be towed, because it wouldn't start) here. I hate to imagine how much another shop would have charged, given the amount of work that was involved. Not only was the problem fixed, but other problems that another mechanic had failed to fix properly were pointed out and after approval, fixed. Needless to say the car runs so much better now.

I decided to bring my 2008 Subaru Forester in to Wine Country Motors recently and could not be happier with their knowledge, service, and hospitality. They are also very honest and aren't trying to bullshit you into repairing parts that don't need fixing. When I brought in my car for a diagnosis I paid for an hour of service but I was pleasantly given a discount for the time not equaling a full hour. Not every mechanic will do that for you. They also quoted me 5 times less than the dealership for the repairs.
I would highly recommend Wine Country Motors to anyone that needs their car serviced because they are in the business of serving people, not in the business of serving themselves.

After a visiting the DMV to register a vehicle I just bought and was told I needed a smog check. I walked into Wine Country Motors at 12pm without an appointment and the techs there were just finishing up another smog and about to head out to lunch but they decided to squeeze me in. I was in and out in a jiffy and was able to go back to the DMV to finish what I started without a hitch.

Took my 2004 acura tsx to smog test, check engine light was on and could not pass the test. I ended up brought my car to Wine Country Motors.They found out it was the timing chain stretch. They took care of my car well and fixed it for about $1000 (dealership quote was $1500). They even did additional work; my air intake was leaking air and they glued it for me. They got everything ready for me to bring it to DMV in one week. Saved me so much time.

I bring my old Fiat Spider here when there is a problem and these guys know what they are doing. I also bring my newer Toyota Pickup here for service (but not as often as the Fiat, its a Toyota after all ;-). I also have both cars smog tested here and have been very satisfied. This is the best place I know of for auto repairs period.

Best mechanic shop anywhere, and I do mean anywhere (U.S.). Kelly and his team have serviced all of my cars (Honda, BMW, Lexus, Mazda, GM etc) for the past six years and they are always tip top. They will never up-sell you or try to get you to "repair" things that are not needed. Their prices are fair and you always get quality service and peace of mind. In summary, they will not rip you off which, sad to say, is not the norm at other garages.

My "check engine" light came on when the car was working fine so I freaked and pulled in here urgently. Everyone was at lunch except for one mechanic who helped me right away. It took him less than five minutes to figure out the gas cap was loose. He tightened it, gave me directions to get back on my route easily and I was on my way. Trustworthy.

What a great experience! Honest, caring and knowledgeable.
I called ahead, worried that my car would not pass smog. Kelly, the owner, told me that while he could not perform the smog test today, the shop next store would. He would need the smog test first in order to diagnose and repair any issues my car had. I took my car in, he got all the information that the other shop would need and drove the car over for me. I PASSED!
Kelly told me to keep him in mind if the car ever did need repairs. I will only be taking my car to Wine Country Motors in the future.

One of thee best if not only, mechanical shop in town. As far as I know, the whole staff including Kelly, the owner himself, is trustworthy and shows so much appreciation for his customers, that you will end up becoming a long time customer. They have the passion and ability to provide excellent service, I'd drive 30 minutes, just for them. I highly recommend Wine Country Motors!

In all my years of of referring folks to Wine Country Motors I have never heard a bad report. Kelly and his crew are not only nice but well trained and if they can save you a buck they will, that is how they have managed to grow. Integrity. I had an alternator go bad on subaru WRX while passing through Napa. They were kind enough to work me in on a Friday. When the replacement alternator (through no fault of theirs) turned out to be bad they covered the cost of replacement with another local shop, and Kelly called to make sure I made it home OK.

By far this is the BEST auto shop I have ever been to. I took my 73 Toyota Land Cruiser in as it had a moderate oil leek. I was quickly called and told my crank case hoses had burst. Jerry told me he could have it fixed in a couple of hours. It was shorter than that. The work was priced exterely low and the service was outstanding. The staff are very friendly and extremely skilled. I have found my new auto shop.

Awesome service, owner and employers are true professionals who know cars inside and out. Brought several cars there over the course of the years with issues ranging from fuel pumps (90 S-10 Blazer), to bum a/c (86 Bronco II) to dented-in doors (98 Honda Accord) and always got resolution promptly and at a reasonable price. Tune ups and routine stuff are always quick and easy.
The passion of these guys really shows in their work. WIll continue to bring my cars there every chance I get.

The ONLY place to go in needing auto work done in Napa (outside of dealerships which I avoid like the plague!). Kelly did my Tundra, my BMW M3, and my Ford f-250 for years and did it RIGHT. He and his professional team are outstanding. I have taken my vehicles to other shops due to geography changes but am FED UP with all the "auto-service" scammers out there... I am going back to Kelly!!!

Unbeatable service and quality can only begin to describe Kelly and his team at Wine Country Motors. I came to Kelly with a number of issues plaguing my car and Kelly was able to quickly diagnose and repair my vehicle. These issues included a leaking transmission, worn out motor and transmission mounts as well as alternator and electrical troubles. What really made Kelly's service stand apart was that he kept me in the loop about the issues he came across while working on the car. Kelly was even able to get my car to pass SMOG. It is without doubt, Kelly's knowledge, customer service and commitment to performing the highest quality work are unparalleled. I'll be taking my vehicle to Kelly and his team, with absolute confidence, should any issues arrive in the future. I currently live in San Francisco and it was more than worth the hour drive it took me to get there, I'd happily make the trip anytime to have my vehicle serviced by Wine Country Motors.

I've been a customer of Wine Country Motors for 25 years. Kelly and his crew have kept my cars out of trouble. The service is always excellent. When I get my car back from a routine service I can actually feel the difference. The car is tighter and smoother. He will alert me when I need new tires, a new battery or wiper blades. I have complete faith in his honesty and integrity.

I referred a few friends there to and they were happy. Very knowledgeable on the dreaded smog issues too. A great place if you drive a FIAT, they are one of the few places that knows these cars.

We have been taking our cars to Wine country Motors since it opened in 1982. We keep our cars for a really long time and Kelly Dicker and his crew has been instrumental in making that happen. I get great service and always get my car back the same day. Since Kelly does the ongoing maintenance I have very few major repairs and have never found myself stranded on the road. His prices are very fair and I know he has my best interest at heart.
