pretty much all my FB buddies know by now how anal I am about cars. I just want to recommend two businesses that did an outstanding work on my cars for over 20 years. Body shop: Citation Collision, 2695 Stillwell Ave, Brooklyn NY 11234, (718) 266-8936 and general auto repair: Neptune Auto Repair, 1606 Neptune Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11235, (718) 372-8936.

Recently bought a car from Compass. A really good experience. Great price (I did the research, best price out there for a dealer) and we got the deal done in a couple of hours. Paul saved me $900 (50%) on car insurance by getting me a better quote...he filled out the quote for me online as we were chatting. Incredible. My credit union loan officer said to be me that he was a pleasure to work with. Efficient and very nice. Lastly, love the car I got. Paul does not negotiate, but the service I got and the car he sold were stellar. Man is a gem. Not only would I recommend, I will be buying cars from him as long as he is in business.

The guy here was super nice, but when it comes down to it, he sold me a shitty car. I found the Chevy Equinox on and made my way down to check it out. It was a great price, the car looked great, sounded great, felt great. Low mileage too. They told me it was from out of state, so the mileage wasn't even city miles. Everything checked out and I got it that day, done deal. Then I started having brake problems. Then there were electrical problems. Then there was a big rain, and the front inside of the car flooded. The brake problems were few and far between at first. I took it to a shop and they said it was probably a sensor, which they replaced. No big deal. But it happened again. Not a sensor, nobody could figure it out, but it seemed fine. A year later, it barely runs. GM specific mechanics haven't even been able to figure it out, but all guesses point to this is the reason the previous owner got rid of it. I was sold a piece of shit that was polished up nicely. I have had this car for a little over a year, and have had problems nearly the whole time. I learned the lesson to not buy "as is" anymore, but I really don't trust this dealership anymore. I'm stuck paying on a car that doesn't run.
