Easily the best and nicest mechanic I've ever been to. I had an exhaust leak that I had spent weeks trying to fix, I even brought it to other shops at first but had no luck fixing it. Brought it to Jim's and they fixed it in less than an hour, without breaking the bank. If you need somewhere to fix anything on your car, this is the place to go, hands down.

These guys are great. Had my car in another shop for 3 weeks unable to be diagnosed and was told my car was done. Yesterday I called Powerhouse to get a second opinion and over the phone I was given a diagnostic. Within 10 minutes of dropping my car off, I received a call with the problem diagnosis and the solution. Car was ready and done before noon today. Very knowledgeable and respectful group of guys working here, highly recommended.

This place is an absolute diamond in the rough. I was recommended to Jim by a friend in the automotive business. Having never been there I was apprehensive as to what I would encounter. What I encountered for my muffler work was a skilled mechanic, whose bedside manner was second to none. Cost was very reasonable, work performed was complete, and quick. If ANYTHING is wrong with your vehicle take it to these people, they are skilled professionals, who understand the working man (and lady). They treat people as they want to be treated. I watched Jim interact with 7-8 customers while I was there, his rapport , polite attitude, and level of experience was very impressive. You just cannot go wrong. In these economic times , maintaining an older vehicle is necessary, and they get it, in spades........Motorcycle repair to come ?.....hell ya

If I had an infinity option for rating id pick that, Jim is awesome and he will get you right!! I got my BMW 335i done there, straight pipe, and he did an awesome job, I didn't know what true love was till I turned on my car hearing that exhaust sound! I recommend him to everyone who is doing an exhaust system.

Absolutely wonderful service! Mr. Jim is a gentleman as are the others and are extremely knowledgeable with what they are doing. I've known Jim who is the owner of Powerhouse for a long time, and there is No One and I mean No One I would trust under the hood of my vehicle but him and his crew. I'm a 50 year old African American who has lived in Tallahassee all my life, and I've had my share of knowing bad mechanics, so believe me when I say Powerhouse is the most honest place you would want to take your vehicle when theirs a problem. Since I've known him, I've had my father and my bosses vehicles repaired there, and they highly recommend him. Putting it bluntly, if you're looking for an honest mechanic who does quality work, the 1st time with no call backs, go to Powerhouse!

Great guy, very helpful and honest! Diagnosed the problem, showed us how to fix it, gave us the cheapest price. When we said we were just in town for the weekend and wouldn't make it back in time for him to install it, he shook our hand and didn't charge us for his time. Not only that, but he told us how we could fix the problem ourselves without having to take it to a shop. When we need help with vehicles in the future. we will call!

Place is awesome!!!!!! Jim is super nice and sweet. Shop is cool. Didnt get to meet the other workers but they are prolly just as cool. I had a battery needed to be replaced chrysler wanted to make me wait until oct12 to even look at it. Jim said come on in and was taken care off in a half hour. Great place to bring the car by! Jim at powerhouse is a great guy. I was traveling from Fort Myers to Pensacola and had a wheel bearing issue on my truck pulled off and he was the first shop I found unfortunately he did not have the time to fix my truck(about four hours) but he spent over 30 minutes calling his friends at other shops to get it done and also called to get the parts in for me and he wouldn't even except money for the time it took for him to help me and then he kept checking in on me throughout the process. I could not believe the customer service for someone who wasn't even paying customer. If you need any work done to your vehicle please go to powerhouse.

On a scale of 1-10 these guys are a 20! Brought me back to the days of actually going to a mechanic shop and getting my car fixed without a sales pitch and high robbery involved. Imagine that! Was VERY impressed with the owner and with Jeremy :)). The waiting room is hands down the nicest around. I was met with friendly faces & never once had to worry that I was being scammed or treated 2nd rate to bigger repairs or customers. Jim, and every worker here, are beyond crafted in what they do. They were $1,000 cheaper than the other auto places in town, and they did more than what was necessary just to ensure my safety and well being. Now that's great customer service! Jim and the boys do amazing work at a great price. They know their cars too (especially Mustangs) and won't screw you over. Definitely recommend them. Got work that another place quoted me $2200 and 4 days to do. I knew how/what to do but lacked the tools to do so. Took it to Powerhouse and they only charged me $1250 and had it done in 1 day. If you know your cars, you'll love these guys. If you don't know cars, you'll love these guys even more because they'll fix you up better than you could even imagine.

I can not stress enough that this is the only place to take your car to in Tallahassee. I have had nothing but the best experiences. Always a fair price and for great service. I took my car there and was quoted for just the cost of the part and labor. No hidden markups, unlike my car dealership that wanted like 2-3 times that amount! Also when I had an issue with the part, not because of them it was just a bad part, took it back and they switched it out for nothing. I am so beyond grateful to those guys! My number 1 go to as a college student here to get my car fixed.

Joe's shop is amazingly kept, he is a superbly helpful person with a wonderful disposition. We had some truck issues while on the road so we pulled up to the shop and were greeted immediately with a smile and were escorted into an amazing waiting room that was excellently equipped with couches and a large T.V. Once the problem was identified, the fix was easy, and Joe and his shop employees showed me points of concern for the future. They fixed more than I asked for and asked for less than they should have.

What can I say about the guys at Powerhouse?? They are FANTASTIC!! I have been trusting my car repairs to Jim for about 5 years and wouldn't take my car anywhere else. He even had my car towed for me when it broke down on Thanksgiving day! Great people, dependable work, and no BS!!
