THESE GUYS COULD NOT FIX MY TRUCK!!! But they pointed me in the right direction. After going to three mechanics shops and 2 transmission shops, Ralph from Alonso Transmissions told me it definitely wasn't a transmission problem. He referred me to a mechanic that he relies on to fix other problems. Finally I find a transmission and auto repair shop that aren't looking to make a quick buck and screw you over. Ralph was very personable and cordial. Every person that arrived after me was treated like family. He genuinely took care that I left with my problem resolved. The shop that he referred was also knowledgeable and was able to diagnose the problem. Turned out to be a clogged catalytic converter. Now I'm off to a muffler shop. Thank you Ralph for your help.

When my transmission went I didn't know what to do. My car was a 2007 and everyone told me to junk it...but the car only had 56,000 miles on it and was in very good condition. After getting a few quotes I decided to have it towed to Alonso Transmission on the recommendation of someone I trust. After 1 conversation my mind was eased a bit because I knew that Ray was going to make it a black and white decision on what to do. Ultimately after looking at the car he told me what I already knew, that the car was in excellent condition except for the fact that the transmission was done.
I decided to get it replaced despite many people telling me I was crazy. I believe I told Ray to replace it (with a brand new transmission, not a rebuilt is what he told me they would do) on a Wednesday and told me it should be done on Saturday. To my surprise I received a call from them on Friday afternoon telling me that it was ready to be picked up. Excellent doesn't begin to describe Alonso.

This is the best garage I have ever dealt with. They are professional and the best customer service I have had in quite a long time.
I took them my 78 Jeep Cherokee and they worked on it till they had it right.
Ralph and Ray and the mechanics are very knowledgeable and I will not trust anyone else when it comes to Transmission, Transfer case and differentials. They have a customer for life!

Love this place, i went in to fix the transmission on my bmw and it turns out the car also had a couple of other parts that were a little messed up and they went ahead and fixed everything up for me. Car came out perfect, it was worth the wait.

I went in with my Ford F150 KIng Ranch pickup on 11/2015.These guys go out of their way to please the customer.
I have nothing but good things to say about Ralph and Ray.They are very professional and their work is quality.My truck was tested with me in the truck and a diagnostic was reached,later a great price was established. My truck is working like new and with 1 year warranty.Another great point is that after 10 days they ask you the customer to bring the car back to make sure everthing is working perfect and it was.on my return check up the battery on my truck died out. needless to say Ralph himself drove me to the autoparts and I was about to get a new battery. Once again I highly recommend Alonso Transmission for your transmission repair.Not many service companys left with so much detail in customer satisfaction.

This place is 150% customer service. Ralph went above and beyond with testing my 2006 Audi. He drove me to see another shop where he considered might find my issue since it was not tranny related.
Awesome people - go there if you have tranny issues and ask for Ray or Ralph.

I wanted to share my great experience with Ray and Ralph at Alfonso Transmission. I brought my 1999 Volvo S-70 in for engine work. They treated me and my car like family. They went above and beyond in addressing the issues my car had. They also took the time to explain the mechanical issues and giving me options. When i picked up my car they had detailed the car. I look forward to recommending them to my family and friends.

They are very nice on their customer service but unless you want to pay DOUBLE the price on any transmission service I wouldn't recommend them. I went to them because of their great reviews but me being car Savvy and knowing what my service should cost they couldn't get me to do any service to my car. These people are thieves $$$ to "rebuilt" an old simple transmission they were charging me $1500!! Mind you a "brand new" transmission costs $1300! Also to replace a few gaskets they were charging me $900 then I explained they were only $50 gaskets and they dropped the price to $600 in a matter of minutes, there I knew these people were out to get you if you don't know much about cars and costs. I finally left and got my service done somewhere else for $250 (resealed transmission) and to rebuilt was $600. But they were nice lol Ray quoted me the price and Ralph the owner was present.

Unfortunately, Alonso transmission has terrible service. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are taking advantage of the fact that they speak English and some of their customers hardly speak the language, so be aware! I had a transmission change here, for which I brought in my own transmission. I was told that they give a warranty for their service (a lie). They pretend to be professional but they are a bunch of undercover thieves. After picking up my car and driving it, I noticed transmission fluid leaking on my driveway. I took my car back to Alonso's, and Rafael said the leakage didn't have anything to do with the work they did. I also noticed oil leaking, so I went back yet again, and Rafael said that the oil leakage also doesn't have anything to do with his work. Then he told me that to inspect the leakage they would have to bring down the transmission and charge me $500 dollars again! Don't be fooled! Alonso transmission, managed under Rafael and a partner next to his front desk, is a scam. They won't tell you that if you change the transmission you should also change the seals for the transmission. These seals at the dealers are very economical, ranging from $5.00-$8.00, and Alonso's does not use the original seals, so they don't fit exactly, at which point any transmission will experience oil leakage of both transmission and motor oil. This is ridiculous, so you can take your car back and pay another $500.00 to fix the leakage when they can just give the customer the option of purchasing the original seals not the after market ones. I think it makes sense that if you bring the transmission down you should install new seals to avoid future oil leakage, that way customers can refer other people and give good feedback, but on the contrary they do it so you can take it back to them and they can again charge you another $500.00. In conclusion, avoid this place as much as possible. I had to pay a mechanic to change one of the seals that was leaking transmission oil, but I continue to have motor oil leaking where the motor and transmission joins. A good citizen doesn't deserve to be lied to, especially when you are paying $500.00 for the installation and warranties (which do not exist).
