...long story short, $600 later car was still not fixed and owner basically said he couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. he said that someone had put something in the gas tank. took it to a dealership and they determined right away that the distributor wasn't firing.

This place is definitely not closed but it should be. Being new to Omaha I really didn't know one auto repair place from another and this place was close to my house so when my SUV broke down I had AAA tow it here. Huge mistake. After inspection of my car, the owner was certain that I needed a new fuel pump, so that's what I got, for $600. The very next day after picking up my car from him I broke down again with the same symptoms as before. After having paid that much money I was determined they were going to make this right so I had it towed there AGAIN. When the owner started giving me a weird scenario about someone putting a chemical in my gas tank, I had the feeling this guy was in over his head and either did not have the technology or the education to figure this out. Eventually he basically admitted that he could not fix it and I should take it elsewhere which I did. I had it towed AGAIN (that's 3 tows, but who's counting :( ) to a dealership and it turned out it had nothing to do with my fuel pump and my gas tank was just fine. SUPER, thanks Simpson Auto, thanks for stealing $600 from me.
