The owners of Edmunds, based on my three experiences there, perform dependable work at reasonable price. I first contacted the Edmunds shop after a diagnostic report by Desert European Motors that concluded my 2002 S-type needed $4,000 in repairs, including such items as a new gas tank. That report came after I brought the car in because the engine warning light had been triggered.
I sought a second opinion from Edmunds. Its mechanic looked the car over, made a slight adjustment that satisfied the warning light, and charged me nothing.
Months later, I brought the car back to Edmunds for a routine 70,000 mile servicing. That was performed, and no problems identified.
Most recently, I had to have my car towed to Edmunds because it would not start. The fuel pump was replaced at a cost of $850. By unhappy coincidence, one week earlier I had had to install a new fuel pump on my 1998 XJ8. The shop performing the work in San Mateo billed me $1,250.
In consequence, I can heartily recommend this shop.

These folks do excellent work. I have a 2004 Jaguar XJR with about 61,000 miles. Edmund's has done the repairs, as requested, at a fair price. I would estimate at 35% less than the local dealer. They use quality parts, and they are not aggressive as the dealer repair shops are.
There is 'always something to fix', but Edmund's repairs only what is requested. No 'upsell', on what 'should be done' as far as additional (costly) repair work. That is why I like and respect them. I would never recommend (to anyone) a Jaguar dealer for repairs, if the car is out of warranty.

Simply put ... Edmund is the BEST. This is the easiest 5 stars I have ever given out. Edmund is professional, HONEST and does good work for a reasonable price. He also can be counted on for good advice. He has worked on my two vintage Rolls Royce's for 20 years. And I live 100 miles from Palm Desert. I highly recommend Edmund.
