My vehicle lost power about 30 miles outside of Council Bluffs while traveling across country. Had the van towed to Atherton Auto about 10:00am. I had an fair estimate (alternator) by 4:00pm the same day and approved the work. I was back on the road by 10:00am the following morning with the cost being below estimate. The breakdown could have cost me several days. Very pleased.

If you looked up "Above and Beyond the Call of Duty" in the dictionary, a picture of Atherton's would pop right up. Let me set the stage for you:
It's the day after Christmas 2009, a Saturday, and Council Bluffs (along with the entire midwest) is trapped in the middle of a raging blizzard. My husband and I are in town visiting his parents, but we need to get home to Denver... and our Chevy Tahoe won't start. Common sense dictates that we're S.O.L., right? Wrong!
Atherton's has been my in-laws' mechanic for near on 40 years, and when my father-in-law put in a call to them on Christmas evening asking if they do anything to help us out, the answer was a resounding, "of course... bring it in tomorrow morning."
People, they opened the shop JUST FOR US. On a Saturday morning. On the day after Christmas. In a raging blizzard. And you know what? They had the problem (electrical, which can often confound even the best of mechanics) diagnosed and fixed by noon!! Like I said, "ABOVE AND BEYOND."
Now I'm not going to promise that they'll do this for you... but the fact that they did it for SOMEONE should say a lot about not only the quality of their character, but the quality of their work as well. If I could give them 1,000 stars I would!
