MSN Automotive is a local, family-owned, Saab, Mini (and maybe a random vehicle here and there if you ask nicely). The Newbolds are honest, hard working and all around great people. I have used MSN for a number of years for various Saabs I have owned. I can always trust that I am getting fair prices with work that far exceeds expectations. You can rest assured that you will be treated like you are a member of the Newbold family. Best Saab and Mini mechanics on the planet!!!

I had always known that Mike was an honest guy and treated his customers fairly. Since I've had the opportunity to work with him, I really see that he truly cares about these customers. He stays after hours, comes in early, works on weekends, and tries to get them the best deal--all because he cares. He's a great man and you can count on him to get the job done!

Professional. Friendly. Honest. Adept. I started taking my car to MSN a few years ago when I bought my '08 9-5. Aside from Ken Garff, MSN is the only Saab certified shop in town that I know of without travelling to the south end of the valley. Their work is top notch which should be expected since it is priced at a point that reflects their lack of competition at their caliber. It's about what I would expect to pay at a dealer. It's not just their great work that keeps me coming back though. These guys take care of their customers. I brought my car in for a checkup and oil service in preparation for a road trip through Tucson and New Mexico. There was no way that Mike could have known from that inspection that my throttle body was on its way out. I had seen symptoms leading up to this event; I ignored them. On the morning that I left my car threw a code and went into limp home mode. I went directly to the shop where they had 3 cars on their 3 lifts. Appointments generally are few days out for these guys but, knowing that I had already taken time off of work and needed to be on the road, they took my car in and got the work done in a few hours. They saved my butt and have earned a loyal customer for life.

In the middle of a 1,500 mile road trip, the temperature gauge failed on my 1999 (beloved) Saab. I called, they got me in right away, did the work and talked to my mechanic in Oregon to help guide the process. They were efficient, the price was fair, and I made it home without a hitch. I was so lucky to find their shop. Even my dog was happy about being in the waiting room. Thanks so much for the great service! J. de La Harpe

Very expensive!! Way more than other auto repair shops. Mike does a great job but you need to decide if it is worth paying more ..... much much more!.

Had some headlight trouble, and then a few days later had a belt break on me after I purchased a used Saab. Been a Saab fan for years, so to have a place to go to where they're extremely friendly, and incredibly professional has been a godsend. These guys are worth every penny. So long as I have a Saab, I'll go no where else!

Trustworthy, honest, fast, and reasonably priced. I dropped my car off with Gary at 8:30 one morning and he called me by 9 with an estimate. I hadn't even made it into my office in that amount of time. (He's also walking distance from Trax) Most importantly, if he doesn't think it's worth fixing, he will tell you.

I had a terrible and disappointing customer experience here. In fact, this is my first Yelp review because I was so bothered. I originally took my vehicle to a different auto shop in town and received an alarmingly high quote for some proposed work to be done. After seeing the great reviews on this page, I decided to call and get a quote from Gary Miller's service center. The person I spoke with was short and agitated as I inquired a general quote on several fixes. He then angrily told me that he was busy and was missing other calls while we were talking. After that, he very aggressively (just short of a yell) told me that I need to make up my mind, which ultimately forced me to hang up the phone and recuperate. I called the next dealer on my list and they easily and courteously walked through my repairs and offered a better quote. I had thousands of dollars of work to be done, and would've been a repeat customer, had the representative not been so brash and tactless. I would look elsewhere before you go here.

Mechanics like Gary don't surface often. I hesitate to write a review because I don't want to share the secret and have to wait to get my car into the most honest, most reasonable mechanic I've ever seen.

I've been going to Gary since I had my little 1988 Honda CRX. I now take him my 2006 CRV and he's never been anything but honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable. Honda had a re-call on my Honda and I took it into the dealer who told me I need an alignment along with the re-call adjustment and they could do that for $$$. I said, I'd wait and talk it over with my mechanic. Well, yeah, Gary said, "No. You don't need an alignment. How much were they going to charge? Wow, you were going to get off pretty cheap!"
Let's just hope he NEVER retires!

Car runs great!
Gary Miller is a total professional. He will tell it to you straight with no B.S. Gary maintains & repairs my 2004 Acura better than the dealer did. Recent brakes for my Acura, dealer quote was $360.00 . Had the same job done at Miller for $245.00 with OEM parts. I've referred friends to Gary without hesitation and they have experienced the same excellent results.

Gary is absolutely the best and most honest mechanic you will find. He has kept my old Toyota truck running for years...It now has over 250,000 miles and runs like a top. He only does what needs to be done and his prices are great. I recommend him highly!

Gary is great. Our family has been taking our cars to him for years now. We trust him explicitly and he has earned that trust over many years of fantastic service. Gary is what I would call a minimalist: He will only encourage you to do repairs that are necessary. He never up-sells, charges very reasonable labor rates, and without fail has been able to do better work for less cost than any other mechanic I have had to use in the past. Gary has worked on several sports cars of ours, as well as commuter vehicles. This is the only time I've made the effort to do a Yelp review, as Gary is really the only service provider I've felt strongly enough about to recommend to complete strangers.
