THE BEST JEEP MECHANIC THERE IS !!!
I have been going to Hoyt 4x4 for about 8 years now form simple oil changes to major rebuilds and repairs. Tony the owner and Mechanic is an OUTSTANDING in individual and the BEST Mechanic there is when it comes to Jeeps. I live in Miami now and still bring by JEEPS back to him to work on. He stands behind his work and the products he uses 100%. I had a set of ball joints go bad the manufacturers warranty had just expired. He replaced them at his cost and NO Charge for he labor either.

I recommend Tony and Hoyt 4x4 to anyone in the jeep world.
I have had Tony do all sorts of repairs over the years from engine swaps and full lift kits to small repairs and tune ups. He has also helped find used parts and other odd ball pcs to help me with my rebuilds.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP and S...
STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP and STAY AWAY FROM PITBULL TIRES. Tony is a DB and if you have any problem with the tires, he will do everything in his power and his little mind to make your vehicle the fault of the issue. He is a lazy one man shop and a total DB. He also will break your property. He broke a centercap of mine and it took him almost 6 months to replace it. ONCE AGAIN....I ADVISE YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS A$$H0LE. I have reported him to the BBB. I have also alerted PITBULL TIRE CO to this issue and they back him instead of the customer. Stay away from Both TONY HOYT AUTOMOTIVE and PITBULL TIRES.

I found the owner and operator to be a wealth of information and very helpful. After some extensive checking around, Hoyt 4x4 was the only shop willing to take on the challenge of welding on new heavy duty lower control arm brackets and replacing the control arms on a Jeep TJ. They also discovered a bent tracking bar during the replacement and made that right too. I had a chance to look around the shop while there and saw some excellent custom jobs either done or underway. After getting the TJ back, I have to say, I'm very impressed with the quality of the welds and speed of installation. The Jeep is now back on the road and ready for the next upgrades.

It's a one man show, just an employee owner, which could be great but is not. Truck not done on time, which is not a big deal, no shop ever has anything done when they say they will. But I look around and he covers all the do not do guides in even a basic Chilton guidebook. Calipers hanging by the brake hoses. Differentials assembled with an impact gun and lots of red locktite. Ring and pinions set up by feel. No dial indicator or torque wrench seen anywhere in the shop. Taxes on labor cost. No warranty on any work performed. And the cost ends up being the same as a real 4x4 shop charges. You are much better off doing it your self or going to a real shop that has a torque wrench.

What a joke. Went there to get a quote for suspension to get put on my truck. As soon as I told them I had already bought a kit and was just looking for labor, they all of the sudden didn't want to work on my truck. Very unprofessional and would definitely not recommend going here.
