2001 acura integra - timing belt stripped. I had paid another local shop to replace it a few years ago, but when this happened it became obvious that they hadn't done the work.
I feared that the engine was trashed, which was what the other shop told me, but the Hackett Bros. found that the valves were not damaged, and fixed it for a reasonable fee. It's running great now. I've taken it for a few long drives just to be sure. I will trust them to take care of my vehicles from now on.

Do not take your car there for a check engine light! Even if you get the car repaired there they still charge you to find out what's wrong with the car. A job that was supposed to cost $300 plus tax ended up costing me $421.85 because of them looking at the car to find out what's wrong with the car. But they are supposed to be very "Christian" no different then any other mechanic. They will all rip you off.

Thank you for your great example of your customer service with your last comment. Once again, there is no apology nor effort to make anything right with me. Instead, you are insulting me in writing now by calling me a liar as you did on the phone. No wonder why I hung up on you. You are right.. you don't want me for a customer. and I don't want you to breathe never mind touch one of my vehicles. I'd say we have a great understanding.

I may come back and increase this rating to five stars, but I tend to be reserved where car repair is concerned. As of now, I am very impressed with this business. I have been to a few other places in town for service, and this is by far my favorite. The staff is friendly, straight-forward (without being condescending), and I feel they are honest. I get second opinions and numerous quotes for repair of my van, and my dad is always called to review what I find out. He is an expert in this particular vehicle, and he and I have both been impressed with the deal I can get with repairs. The first time I was there, they had no time to do a full check of my problem, but one of the employees came out anyway and looked under the hood. He gave his best-guess estimate, and after checking several other places in town, I realized that not only was he exactly right, but their price couldn't be beat. Now several weeks later, I am still happy with the repair, and I am actually going back for another well-quoted repair that I have known about for awhile.

Awesome job

I highly recommend Hackett Brothers. They were very honest and did not tell me things that were wrong that were not with my Honda Pilot. Customer Service was awesome, they were finish in my car in a timely manner, and stayed true to their word. My car was towed to them per I had never heard of the shop.When others asked me who was working on my car,I told them and they replied, I was in good hands, and will be taking care of. As a single mother of children, I felt good to hear this.So many shops will try to rip you off. I will continue to use Hackett Bros. for all my car needs!!!

Honest People, Great Work

I have used Hackett Brothers for the last 7 years. They are by far the best repair place I have used anywhere. Their ability to diagnose the problem, and then to fix it right, makes for happy customers. They are very personable,and the waiting area is much nicer than the usual little cubicle you are put in. Check them out!

I was referred to Hackett Brothers by another mechanic due to the issue being within the engine itself. I never had the pleasure to meet either of the owners in person, but I did speak with them over the phone. Dropped my car off after hours and was able to pick it up after hours, which was super convenient! We've used Hackett Brothers several times. Their quotes are fair and accurate. Today they looked at a brake issue on our car and suggested we wait to change brake pads since we have 25% left. You don't find that kind of honesty everywhere. They are great!

Just left Hackett brothers today. My truck would not start and I naturally expected the worst. Hackett brothers identified this as a blown ignition fuse (not a starter or fuel pump, etc) then traced the issue to a bad cylinder coil which likely blew the fuse. They had recently replaced the cylinders when they swapped my spark plugs. So there was no charge to replace the coil or the diagnostics. Had I went to another shop, there's no telling what I could have been told. Glad to hear them give me honest feedback and quickly identify a problem and have me on my way. I'll be back!

I took my car in for a repair. My car happens to be equipped with a dash camera which records anytime the engine is running. Upon receiving my car back, I discovered that the camera had been tampered with and that video files recorded while in the shop's possession had been deleted. Makes me wonder what they are hiding.
