I've been using Auto Doc since before it was Auto Doc: at least 17 years. Jim Bustle is one of the best diagnoticians I've worked with. No mechanic can get it right all the time. Cars are complex things. But he gets it right more often than most. He does repairs well and fairly. I've had enough training as a mechanic that I usually have a decent idea what is wrong with my car before I take it in, and I've never had any issue with his work. He has never steered me wrong.

I recently took my car in to Auto Doc because the ac in my car would only blow out hot air and would not get cool. They fixed it after keeping it overnight, which was fine. They charged $500, I gladly paid it and left. The ac blew out cool air for about a day and a half. So I call back and schedule for them to take a look at it. They tell me I have a 1 year guarantee so I didn't think there would be any charge. After 5 hours they call back saying that there is a leak that they missed the first time and say that it would take 8 hours to get to it then another 9 hours to replace it. All of that would be another $800 on top of what I've already paid them to first this in the first place. I tell them not to work on it because that is ridiculous and they tell me that there will still be a $34 charge for freon they put on. Shouldn't that be covered in the 1 year guarantee I have? It was their fault that they "missed" this leak, so why I should be charged again. I was told that that was not included in the one year guarantee. Any good mechanic would have noticed a major leak like this. Either they are uneducated, not thorough, or trying to cheat people out of their money. I would not recommend taking your car here.

I've had my vehicle worked on a few times here. They were nice and very helpful. I was very satisfied and will definitely use them again.
