Gone to Lon's multiple times for work on my Ford Ranger, including a recent hit and run, that did a lot of damage. Lon consistently exceeds expectations. First of all, he is honest as they come, a rare trait in his trade. Secondly, he finishes work quickly, and is reliable in terms of finishing when he says he will. Most importantly though, everytime i had a problem, he went out of his way to find second hand parts to be able to complete work as cheaply as possible, which is super helpful for my extremely limited budget. Including the last time, where a hit and run had broken my front wheel clean into the axle, he managed, with some difficulty, to source the entire left side of another ranger, which saved me a bunch of money. If yr in hamtramck, and need work on yr car, i doubt you'll do better then lon's.

Lon is an expert mechanic and is the only truly honest mechanic I have ever dealt with. His prices are always fair and his work is always efficient. I have taken my car in to him for anything from replacing a starter motor to thermostat replacement and coolant flush to replacing a driveshaft bearing. Lon does it all and it always surprises me how quickly the job gets done. I drive an older car, and he is the only person I trust besides myself to work on it. Lon is also very friendly and will never try to upsell you on repairs you don't need. Lon is the best in town.
