I have been using Sterling Start for over 7 years and have enjoyed the service and craftsmanship. My 99 CLK 430 has 245k on it and about 100k ago they replaced the major compnents and the car has been runnning great. I have always received great prices as compared to the dealerships and even having friends that are mechanics does not compare to the expertise these guess have.
If you are in Loudoun or Henrdon or just need some serious work done and own a Mercedes this is the place to go!!!!

These guys are thugs. If there is nothing wrong with your car, they will say it is about to break down, this part is bad that part is bad. My car had starting trouble and also was showing battery sign, obviously battery needed changing so I took it to them. They tried to tell me that the crank shaft on my under warranty Mercedes was bad and needed replacement and they were ready to change it even without asking my permission. I asked them not to and took the car to the dealership and they changed the battery, the crankshaft had no problem what so ever. This place is a complete fraud operation run by a bunch of thugs. WARNING: STAY AWAY

I took my 2005 Mercedes SL 500...
I took my 2005 Mercedes SL 500 to Star Sterling Automotive last year because the air conditioning was not working on the car. The technician diagnosed and said it needs some A/C oil and gas and I paid up for the work. The next day the A/C wasn't cooling again so I took the car to them again and this time they said there might be some problem with the compressor. They took some time to actually diagnose the problem and confirmed that the compressor was leaking and I ordered the repair job be conducted on my car and paid up for the repair.. paid up around $1700 up until now. The work is guaranteed for a year. A couple of days after I got the car back from them, the A/C wasn't cooling again so I called them and told them about the issue and they said since the summers are already gone, bring it back next summer and they will fix it, no worries. Fast forward next summer, I took the car to them and now they claim another hose is leaking and it will cost be another $480 to fix it. I think this is a money minting fake operation that is ripping customers or their hard earned money. A similar incident happened with my wife's car at the same mechanic but she asked them to not perform the repair and instead took it to the dealership only to discover that there was nothing wrong with her car and this guy was trying to rip money off her. STOP... DON'T GO TO STAR STERLING AUTOMOTIVE, THIS IS A RIP OFF

I have been using the services of Sterling Star since 2005. They have done repair work on a number of my automobiles. They are the best. GP is very knowledgeable and takes time to explain repairs needed. I own a 2002 CLK that GP and his shop have been servicing since 2005. I am extremely happy with the work they have done over the years. I highly recommend Sterling Star Automotive. You can trust them.

I have been a great fan of Sterling Star Automotive for over 2 years. The shop was recommended to me by my son-in-law, who lived in Sterling at the time. From the very beginning, I was very impressed with this family-owned business and its owner, manager, and master mechanic, Mr. Singh: very skilled, extremely courteous, and totally trustworthy. About 10 days ago, my E-320 Mercedes started acting up. First, it was reluctant to start (needed several tries) but was fine, once it started. I thought it was the FOB so I changed the batteries. That did not help. Great reluctance to start was quickly followed by the system informing me of (1) defective brake pads, (2) display panel defective, take to shop; (3) check engine. A day later, the gear started "refusing" to engage. In short, the car was acting totally mad. I took it to Mr. Singh after having called to tell him what was happening. Mr. Singh told me that, given the nature of the problem, the car would need to be observed for a few days. He gave me loaner car to drive back to Washington, and kindly agreed to drive the car for a few days, so that he can observe directly and on a daily basis what I had been dealing with for a week. Early this morning, I was told that the car was now ready to bring back. The difference between before and after is utterly amazing! It acts and feels the way it should. And Mr. Singh would not charge me a penny as no parts required changing! I was flabbergasted.

I have been going to them for past 10 years . I always had the best customer service and experience. When i need them, they always fitted me into their busy schedule. Many times I needed a loaner car and they provided me with one. This is my 3rd Mercedes that they are servicing. I will always got to them because i trust them and I trust their workmanship and their prices are reasonable. J.P. and his brother are awesome .
