When I got my 2003 BMW 3 years ago, I was told to find an independent mechanic to get the best service at the best price. Steve and Simon are two brothers who really know German cars. They diagnosed my first car problem sight unseen, as I described it over the phone. Their prices are reasonable and they are tops at customer service. I really lucked out when I found these guys.

Had my BMW 525i towed into G&T based on the fabulous Yelp reviews. The ignition on my car wouldn't turn over and they diagnosed my issue to be a failed vanos unit on the BMW. I paid $1551 to do the repair and picked up my car the following week (few days longer than I was promised). They also replaced a single ignition coil and replaced my timing chain. I picked up my car on a Friday afternoon and started driving down to Boston and my car started shaking again when I was about 30-40 miles away in Friday night rush hour. They told me to bring it to an AutoZone and test what OBD2 code was coming up on my car and call them back. I was told they would be there until 7pm - I called them at 6:45 and they were gone. I tried starting my car and it would not start and ended up having to leave my car at the AutoZone. The next day they offered to tow my car back at their cost (which was very nice) - but I swapped out the other 5 ignition coils while my car was in the parking lot and my car started up just fine. Although my vanos might have needed to be replaced at some point since they don't last forever, I feel that I paid for something that I didn't need since I just wanted them to fix my car so it would start. I wish they had just started with the cheapest item being the ignition coils since those were only $35 each or $210 total. Instead I got stuck with a $1551 bill for doing something I didn't really need, ended up getting stranded and had to fix the issue myself in the end.

The best hands down mechanics in NJ. They are professional, courteous and most of all honest. I've been going to them for well over 10 years and I drive from NYC to have my car serviced by them. They are "German car doctors".

If you own a german car this is the place to bring it. They are honest and reliable with their work. They dont charge you crazy prices and most of all they know what they are doing. I have brought each one of my audis and bmws here and i have yet to complain.
