After using the same mechanic in CT for 14 years I had to find someone in NC. I took it to 5 Repair Shops before finding ProRod. My favorite was when my exhaust fell off and I was told by another repair shop that it would be $2000 for them to handle but that was because they didn't specialize in exhaust. So the person they referred gave me a quote for $1500...I CALLED Roberto & he said he needed to look at it to be sure but he thought he could just weld it. I brought it to him and sure enough he welded it for $100!!!!!!!!! Yeah $100---I waited to see how it held and to make sure it wasn't just a "quick fix" before I wrote a nice review---it has been 3 months!!! Roberto is knowledgable & MOST IMPORTANT trustworthy!!! 100% recommend ProRod

Car repair problem not fixed

I went in to this shop because I had my sefvice engine soon light and it said Anti-Lock and Trac off. It took over 9 hours before I got my car back and it cost me over $300. Within 10 miles of driving the same 3 service engine lights came back on. Clearly they didn't fix the problem or had no idea what they're doing. BEWARE!

Made an appointment with this guy (I guess, Rod) to get an oil change at 4:15pm today (Friday). He told me that was no problem to get in and get it done before he closed at 5:00pm. I show up on time and no one is there. I call again and he answers saying he had something come up and had to leave and close early. IS HE THE ONLY EMPLOYEE??? But I got no phone call informing me of this!! And I needed to get it done today before having to hit the road on a long road trip in the morning, so I had to go elsewhere... after already paying this guy via Groupon!! Groupon should stop doing business with him immediately!!!

I wish there was zero or negative stars that I could give to this place. Got ripped off in the name of Groupon discount. $50 for an oil change in addition to using Groupon? Are you kidding me? Ended up paying $75 for a Oil change.. Coyld have gone to a Toyota dealer and gotten my oil change done for a cheaper price.. This place was junk with no waiting area and had to wait 2 hours in cold (no heater) and pay big money for the worst service ever.. Not sure if the guy even used the groupon as he never asked for it and told me to mark as redeemed.. Now I even doubt if any service was performed inside or the car was just given back to me.. Very Dissapointing to say the least.. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

While traveling with my family at the beginning of the July 4th weekend, we ran into car trouble in Monroe, NC. It was already 3 pm on a Thursday, and we were referred to Roberto's shop by the very helpful staff at O'Reilly Auto Parts also in Monroe. Roberto completed the work for us right then, and had us back on the road within a few hours. The work was done well and we appreciated his fitting us in at that late hour on a holiday weekend. If we lived in the Monroe area, we would be using Pro Rod Auto Repair for our car repairs. Thank you, Roberto!
