I'd had pretty good service from them until a recent maintenance visit where wipers were installed that I could have gotten for half the price at Wal Mart, plus, I didn't ask for that to be done. I DID ask for my tires to be rotated but when I got home I noticed they hadn't been touched. I called and asked what happened and was told they must have forgot to do that. I wonder what else they 'forgot' to do. They were also supposed to have rotated my wife's tires and didn't because they said all 4 tires needed to be replaced. It wasn't mentioned when the car was picked up. Total lack of communications. Use them at your own risk.

Mike Rawlings and his service department has been maintaining my personal and company vehicles, since the year 2000 and I have the highest respect for the honest professional advice and services. You will be hard pressed to find another auto repair shop such as Dr's Lake Automotive, which puts personal care before profits. Having previous experience as an auto and marine mechanic, I have a tendency to DIY (Do It Yourself) but that takes time away from operating my business, so it pays to have these guys service my vehicles while attend to my business. They have never let me down.

The repair was to replace the power steering rack. A steering rack is a large part that provides the power for power steering. The mechanic to make the installation easy cut the inner tie rod protective boots and took out the inner tie rods. The protective rubber boots are now split and dirt and water can get to the steering rack. Cutting the protective boots is NOT good work. It may make the job faster and easier but it is wrong. You never should do a job like that. I only saw two guys working there, the tall thin one is the guy that did my car. They give a low price and are very courteous when you come in and when you pay the bill. Low prices, friendly, but they do take shortcuts that compromise the repair. Not recommended.
LAW CLAUSE= This is my personal opinion no statement of fact is made is made in this review.
