John and his staff are very friendly and personable. Gave me an honest quote and at the lowest rate of all the auto places I called in the surrounding area. Actual bill ended up being lower than the quote and the car still runs well. Great overall experience.

I used Carter's about a year and a half ago and had some very negative experiences. The owner, John, was not helpful. I was charged over $600 for services, but then had to take my car to another shop after it experienced the same problems that Carter's supposedly fixed. I posted reviews of Carter's online to share my negative experience. About a month after I posted the reviews, I received a letter from Carter's threatening to sue me for libel if I did not remove the reviews. Nothing ever came of it, but it was more of a headache than it was worth.
