Took my car in because the a/c stopped working in the summer. They fixed the issue, however the issue recurred the next week. I took it in and they found another problem and fixed it for free because I had to come back a 2nd time. I was shocked that they didn't stick me with another bill!

Great place for auto repairs!
I have used this repair shop many times, mainly because it's right next door to my apartment. They do good work, quickly, for a fair price. They have been around for a long time, and I believe they have a few locations.
I recently brought my daughters beater car into their shop because the power steering was leaking badly. I would pour power steering fluid in and it would drain right out the bottom. I took a look at it and determined it was leaking from one of the hoses. I tried to fix it, but the hose was located in a tight spot and I couldn't even get my hand in there. So, I don't know how they got at it to repair it. But they called me 2 hours later and it was done. Total was $61. I as expecting $200-$400. So I was really happy!
I think they can fix just about anything! I've had my truck in for oil changes, a broken 4 wheel drive control module, wheel bearings, brakes, and probably a few more things I can't think of right now.

Michael and the guys have taken such good care of me and my car. The have always gone above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. The customer service and the techs are the best in town.
I would recommend, and do to everyone, to bring their car to Smith Nielsen in Hopkins.

I've used Smith Nielsen several times over the last few years and have been very satisfied. They are friendly and professional and do good work at fair prices in a reasonable time. I would highly recommend them .

I started taking my car here 3 years ago because I lived in the neighborhood and thought I would try them out. They have done such a great job at a fair price that after I moved 30 min away I still make the drive just so that I can have them work on my car. My car is at an age where it has had lots of problems that are difficult to diagnose, but these guys have always been able to figure out. Even better, they are honest and fair. For instance, they put a part on my car to try to fix a problem, but it didn't end up solving the problem. Rather than charging me for the part, they took it off and only ended up charging me for the part that actually fixed the issue. You won't regret giving these guy's your business.

These guys are the best!!! We've been taking our cars to Smith Nielsen for years. When the business we'd been taking our cars to in Golden Valley changed hands, we went to Smith Nielsen on Blake Rd in Hopkins. Mike is always so welcoming and never sells you anything you don't need. Wow! What a concept. Thanks Smith Nielsen for your honesty, advice, and overall good service!
