If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Ace automotive is very concerned with customer service. This is a huge plus for a shop! I couldn't be happier with their service, communication, and of course fixing my car. As a single woman, car maintenance for me is on my list of least favorite things to have to fool with! It's nice to know that I can trust my mechanic. It means everything!!! Thank you for getting my old car running for my son. I can't say enough positive about this shop! I highly recommend and will definitely send people your way!

I would recommend ACE to anyone. I am a single mom with 4 boys and money is tight. I understand the value of a dollar and a great warranty. The service is good and they were very quick to finish so I could have my car back.

Not a good place to go... A female friend of mine went there to get a fuel pump put in her 98 Dodge Stratus they charged her $609. They charged her $200 for labor and $409 for the fuel pump and filters. I called Nolans and Sons automotive they were going to charge $90 labor and whatever the fuel pump cost. I called autozone and priced at pump and it was only $179. I feel she was taken advantage of because she was a female and didn't know any better.

I've been going to Ace Auto for 10 yrs now WATCH them open actually. AS a single Mom was Very concern bout gettn Screwd w Car repairs. ACE has been the ONLY place that has treated me "Like- FAMILY" since DAY ONE when I walked in. ALLEN -Stands behind his work , prices are less than others. & His TEAM of GUYS WORK Very hard to make sure folks are happy & SAFE on the Road. WE ALL have FAMILIES we DRIVE around. What kind of cars do ACE Automotive work on? To quote the owner, "We work on all of them."
My car recently had the check engine light come on and refused to change gears. I called my usual mechanic, The Volksdoktor, who had no openings for two weeks. Needing a car to get to and from work this was not going to be a viable option.
After some searching I found ACE Automotive who were more than happy to check out my 2001 Beetle. These guys could have taken me for a ride. I was prepared to hear my transmission was shot. But what they did was run all the tests and found that my recently replaced battery caused a false code. Transmission is fine. The transmission guy gave it his seal of approval.
Need an honest mechanic in the New Albany area? Look no further. They are easily located on 8th street. Just look for the checkered red and white garage.

The mechanics at Ace Automotive are top notch at letting you know what is going on with your car. I've taken both of my vehicles here and have been satisfied (not ecstatic, but satisfied) with the work done. More importantly, I've been very happy with the explanations that have accompanied the work.
One particular experience I feel like I should share. After having work done there on my car, I advised my wife to take her vehicle in for A/C repair and a once-over. The guys at Ace Automotive clearly explained to her what was being done, did not condescend to her (as I've heard is done at a few other shops when "little ladies" come in) and even pointed out areas to watch on the vehicle while it was on the lift so that she could see precisely what they were describing.
I would have given 5 stars, but I've been spoiled be my previous mechanic in Los Angeles. Overall, a very solid shop.
