My son pulled into this station after the tread come off his tire. His fender was wrecked. He asked for a jack to change his tire. An employee told him that they didn't have a jack. My son looked up, and there was a jack in the corner. My son was 2 hours away from home, and this station refused to help him. Wow.

I never, ever write reviews, but I'm so stoked on Steve right now, I'd even write him a Valentine. Every time I take my truck in, the final cost is either at or (sometimes significantly) below the original estimate. If he gets in there and sees the job is easier/faster than he anticipated, it shows in the bill. He seriously is the most honest mechanic I've ever had service my vehicle. Today when they called to tell me my truck was ready (ahead of schedule,) I said I needed a couple hours to get a ride there, THEY CAME AND PICKED ME UP!!! He's local too, so when you spend your money there, it actually stays in the community. It doesn't get shipped off to corporate headquarters in Albuquerque or wherever. I could go on and on... but just take my word for it: Steve at Smiths Service Station on Oglethorpe is the jam. You should go there.

Don't go here, they will try to rip you off. The woman up front is rude on the phone and in person. They will always come up with some obscure reason that they have to charge you a little extra than normal when really theyre just scamming you.

This place is great. The people at Smith's have never let me down the several times I have been here, either over the phone with questions, or in person for multiple car issues with random cars my parents keep donating to me. The people seem honest and are really great with advice. I would recommend Smith's any day.

They replaced a timing belt on my daughters car and it broke 2months later,when they looked at it they told me "the camshaft was locked up".It turns out this was not true and they were covering for not doing the job right.I put a new timing belt on myself and it was fine. Very expensive lesson for me and they never took responsibility for a botched job.Steer clear.
