I had gone to Morelos Transmissions to have a reverse gear replaced on my 2006 Subaru Sti. The customer service was great and they were able to fit me in for an appointment the same day I had contacted them. After a comprehensive diagnosis Jorge gave me my quote and explained the repair process. He took the time to explain how the system operated, which parts specifically were broken and how the repair process worked. After shopping around and getting a few quotes from other shops I thought I would give them a shot. The repair took 3 days which I felt was reasonable. They replaced the damaged components and completely inspected the transmission to make sure other areas weren't affected as this would cost more for labor in the long run. I also had them replace my 2 front cv axles as they were making a bad clicking before I took the car into the shop and needed replacing. Pricing was very reasonable. I was very satisfied with the treatment of me as a customer and the quality of the work itself. About a week later I had them install a reverse lockout cable for me after sourcing the part myself. Again, the pricing for labor was fair and the repair was quick and convenient. I highly recommend Morelos Transmissions and I will be returning should I need any transmission repair in the future.

6 months ago I took my 98 GMC savana to get my transmission rebuild. Jorge did a great job at it and give me a good price too, plus warranty. I drive close to 150 miles per day and as today it feels rock solid. I have other mechanic who I use for fixing other issues, but I wouldn't have any problem trusting the skills and honesty of this shop.

Jorge Castillo, the owner, is a very fair businessman who has always given my family great service on our vehicles. Successful maintenance and repairs on family vehicles over the past few years. Highly recommended for repairs, maintenance and brakes- he did a great job on ours. Family run business and they are always very friendly and warm and it is actually a pleasure going to this repair shop and never a headache. a great Auto repair shop in Seattle and Burien area of Washington.

Honesty and integrity isn't always easy to find in the Automotive Repair Industry. So when you find a transmission repair place that is honest and stands by their work. You just gotta let people know. I had some work done on the transmission of my F150 4x4 earlier this year (around February). I took it to Morelos on the recommendation of a friend. Morelos did a rebuild on the transmission for what I felt was a reasonable price and gave me a warranty on the work.
The truck was running fine after the work was done, right up until two Thursday's ago. My wife was coming home from work and stopped to do an errand on the way home...suddenly, no reverse. We got the car towed home and on Friday, I stopped in at Morelos. I had lost my paper work from the previous job but, Jorge remembered me and without even stopping to look up the paperwork, said he would have it towed over and look at it. Tow truck was a fiasco but that wasn't Jorge's fault (you can't tow a 4x4 with the wheels on the ground, so we had to get a flat bed in to move it). Jorge told me he wouldn't be able to get to the truck until Monday but, he would try to have it fixed by Thursday if he could, depending on the problem and parts needed. Jorge called me on Wednesday, truck was back together but he didn't like the way it was shifting. He needed to take it apart and do some more work on it. He would try to get it back to me on Friday. On Friday, I was called again and told that they were still working on the adjustments and they would have it done for me early next week. They called me on Tuesday of the next week and said it was all done I could come and pick it up. I have to say, the truck drives better now than it ever did since I bought it, and they didn't charge me a dime, all covered under warranty.
The Problem: Somehow, some of the gears in the Transmission had snapped, the metal pieces fell down into the transmission and clogged up a bunch of valves that control your gears (thus no reverse)
I give them 5 stars for standing behind their work, honoring their warranty, and communicating the progress to me each step of the way.

Don't allow legend auto sales to take you're vehicle here on a warranty repair.
Bought a truck that had a slipping transmission 1 month after buying it, legend auto sent it to these people. Who rigged the transmission without fixing the bad clutch packs. He tinkered with the valve body to trick it into working right for another month. Also fabricated some receipt for 1000 dollars worth of repairs with no warranty. Now I'm in the hole 5 grand to rebuild the transmission. Scammers along with the parasite legend auto sales. Gonna contact the bbb as well..... Don't go here. Consider warned.
