Great service all around! Our truck broke down in the middle of the night on a Saturday traveling from Ohio to Oklahoma. Being a Sunday Monroe muffler said it would be a day & half before they could get to us just because they were "busy". I did some searching on Yelp and found sparks and Daryl was able to fix us up right in the parking lot in a couple of hours!

Called in to speak with the manager, and his response was "to go hump someone else's leg" as if I were a dog. I am appalled to think that a business owner would talk to a possible client in such a manner. I'm not sure he knew why I was calling, since he cut me off, but he sure assumed so. I will be sure to let everyone I know in Greenfield, and all surrounding areas what kind of a SOB this guy is. Talking to people is part of the business world, if you can't handle it perhaps someone else should run your business.

Yesterday a ball joint failed on my brother's truck en route from the east coast to Iowa. He called me and asked if I could find a garage that was open on a Sunday - and a flatbed tow truck.
Long story short: he was in a jam, far from home, I had Google and I had Yelp. I opted for Yelp because of the community reviews. I found Sparks Mobile and left a message for Daryl on his machine. About a half hour later - on a Sunday afternoon - I received a call from him.
Turns out he had his family in the car and had actually passed my brother on the way to the in-laws for a family get together. Daryl went on to say he could get to my brother around 6 and fix his vehicle at the roadside.
I passed Daryl Sparks's information on to my brother and they worked things out. Daryl showed up at 5, knew exactly what to do, effected repairs on the spot, and for a fair price. My brother was on his way shortly after and remarked on Daryl's professionalism. Case closed: another success story from Yelp!
The other reviews on Yelp are from other people with other experiences and I can only talk about ours. I can also say -- unequivocally -- that if my business involved meeting strangers at all hours of the day and night to exchange labor to feed my family, I would be out there with whatever was necessary to insure my safety.
While the world today is not as it once was, Daryl Sparks came through with old-fashioned integrity, reliability, and skill.

I contacted Daryl at the recommendation of another group. Daryl did a full pre-purchase inspection of an RV I was purchasing in the area. He was very professional and did a thorough inspection. After he was complete, he sent me a report and then walked me through it answering all of my questions. His rate was extremely reasonable. He also does the inspection on the Engine, Transmission and Brakes which none of the other RV Inspection companies do. I would highly recommend Sparks Automotive to anyone else doing a RV inspection especially when you have to decide if you want to buy it from far away.

I was physically assaulted by this man after a disagreement of service and price. I filed a police report and could not press charges because I did not have a witness. Buyer beware, this man has a gun, which he has with him at all times, and the willingness to assault should a disagreement arise. Cussing and intimidation are par for the course.

While on our way to Wisconsin ...

While on our way to Wisconsin in our RV we had what we thought were brake issues, which we thought had been fixed by our now-former mechanic. Mr. Sparks was able to come to us, explain what he was doing, and get us back on the road in less than 3 hours. He included both of us in his discussions and then took us on a test-drive to be sure we were ready for the road. His prices are more than fair and his customer service? Well, the man called us later that night just to check on us. I can honestly say no other mechanic has ever done that! Thank you, Mr. Sparks...you literally saved our vacation!

I had a wheel bearing fail on ...

I had a wheel bearing fail on my horse trailer near Greenfield, IN and it damaged my tire. I stopped at the Tractor Supply store on St Rd 9 and told them about my problem. They told me about Daryl Sparks' business and gave me his phone number. The bearings were severely damaged and had to be cut off the spindle. Fortuneately, the spindle and the bearing hub/drum assembly were suitable for continued use but the bearings had to be cut off. The tire was blown. Tractor Supply had a tire but couldn't install it on the rim. Not to worry, Sparks has a freakin tire changer on his truck. He installed the new tire, and he had a bearing set in stock to replace the damaged ones. We removed the other 3 wheels and repacked those bearings with grease. I transport horses for hire from New York to Texas all the time and have had many service experiences. Nothing compared to this. Daryl had parts, equipment, know-how, professionalism and jokes. All in a mobile service vehicle that would be the envy of any qualified technician. Kerry Jarvis
