Can't quite remember how I found these guys, but glad I did. They were right in my backyard at the time and, without knowing me, worked with me as I'd just lost my job. We did only the work that was absolutely necessary to keep me safe and rolling. I should mention that I prefer old cars, and drive a '93 Volvo wagon. They then took care of several other small things for me and would always shop around for either a salvage part or an aftermarket part to keep costs down.
Then while preparing for a move across the country, my girlfriend's car (also a Volvo wagon) had all kinds of things going on: dash lights mysteriously going on then off, intermittent no starting, losing coolant....pretty much the works. Knowing that no only did this car need to last us for awhile, it also had to successfully get us across the country to our new home. Yes they had it longer than we would have liked, but I was out of town and my girlfriend did have another car to drive, we were okay there. My sense here is that they take ultimate care to address every detail possible to keep us safe, and not sure there's a price you can put on that.
We've moved from the east coast to Tucson, AZ, and the car performed flawlessly across the country and is now our go-to car (mine doesn't have AC) and there have been no issues whatsoever. If I have a regret it's that now that we found a mechanic we know and trust to keep our best interests front and center, we went and moved away from them! Thanks Tim, Jackie and team for taking such good care of us....we'll think about you during the cold 60 degree winter days here!

Have been a customer for about 2 years now. The first time I went to them, I realized they were expensive compared to some of the other shops in the area. Nevertheless, they got the job done, so I kept going back, but got more and more suspicious of their price each time. 'Twas the last straw when they charged me almost DOUBLE the hours that it normally takes for a job I have done myself twice in the past, and I when I asked for an itemized breakdown, refused to provide one. It was just this kind of apples to apples comparison I needed to confirm what I always suspected and to go find another mechanic.

Dropped my car off for an inspection. an employee at auto motive service solutions hit a pole with my car. instead of contacting us they tried to buff out the scratch to the final coat of paint and scratch is still visible and they caused furture damage. owner apologized and said get an enstimate to fix. we received 3 estimates avg $1,000. he said that is crazy he isnt paying it and he got a bogus estimate with no business name on it for $300 and send a check. when he was contacted he said he has a lawyer on retainer and wants to go to court so he won't have to pay the full amount to fix the damage his employee caused. he informed me that he will sue me if i talked to people about him not paying for our car. its been a year and this business's bad faith has left us with a damaged car that we can't afford to fix. i hope tim romig is happy with himself and the ignorance of his actions how he handled this situation. every since been using jeff's auto 2 blocks down my opinion they are much more reasonable and friendlier

Service is usually ok but more expensive than other local places, especially their labor costs. Definitely ask for a written quote on any major work being done as verbal quotes have repeatedly been lower than the eventual total bill. Tim makes the effort to go over what the problem is and what they think needs to be done. Bottom line--they do a fairly good job but expect to pay more.

A trustworthy auto mechanic is a rare and wonderous thing. You will find them here.
Tim and Jackie are honest owners. They do the work your car needs and don't try to sell you what you don't need. They will work with you, even using parts you provide. Tim always provides a thorough explanation of work performed.
You will pay more than a chain shop. But, the work will be done correctly. The rare times they make a mistake, they will fix it. I have been a customer for several years.

AN EMPLOYEE AT AUTO MOTIVE SERVICE SOLUTIONS HIT A POLE WITH MY CAR. I HOPE TIM ROMIG IS HAPPY WITH HIMSELF AND THE IGNORANCE OF HIS ACTIONS HOW HE HANDLED THIS SITUATION. EVERY SINCE BEEN USING JEFF’S AUTO 2 BLOCKS DOWN MY OPINION THEY ARE MUCH MORE REASONABLE AND FRIENDLIER

They charged me $1,000.00 for essentially a tuneup. When I complained about the cost he said well we do charge $80.00 per hour.
